Yea its pretty crazy seeing how things were advertised years and years ago. Also pretty crazy how much things have changed since those times as well.

My buddy did something similar, pulled his door panels off and took his old Hot Rod and Car Craft magazine covers and covered over them. Lots of cool graphics and bright colors on the magazine covers... It looked fantastic!

Hey, Nice idea for the inside of the car. But I saw a guy do the same thing, except it was to the outside of his car. It's been awhile since I seen it, but I think he lived up in Milwaukee, WI, I think. He used some kind of clear, where it sealed collage against rain. But no car washes for him, but when it did get dusty or dirty he would take a hose, disk soap, and cloths to wet it down and lightly hand wash it. One comment about your door panels: What happens when you need to fix the door hardware? I think you should have attached the panels so that they could be removed. Good video with some really good ideas. Keep up the good work. Bart

Great question! The door panels have about 5 tack welds on each side so with the death wheel it can be off in a couple of minutes. There is only a latch in there no lock or window regulator to have to service so not likely to be back in there any time soon.

Hey Tony! Man, that is a great idea! Never seen this done before on a Hot Rod. I think it would look great in Old Crow, just not overdone. Mayne on the door panels, inside of the roof too. Definately be one of a kind for sure! Love the door handle idea. Use whatcha' got, not jus buyin' somethin' new.10 seconds aftet you uploaded. I see Hardcore Fab drop, everything get sidelined!

I seen a Carson top done like that but on the inside of the roof he used hot rod magazine's to cover the inside of the top it was cool, it had me looking at the inside for a while looking....

That’s awesome, there is a local rat rod here that used old auto show and drag race fliers similar to that but not as cool as the ads.

Wanted to do the inside of a camper like this. Young kids do there wheels this way. Can buy it on Ebay. But looks good in your girls car. Not old crow. Might as well paint the interior pink. Simples good. It's a rat rod. Now hand painted stickers would be good. Air brush even better. But no decoupage . Have you thought of Dazzle camo painted interior.

Way back in the day. My dad would take a picture out of a magazine. Put 6 coats of candy apple clear lacquer. On pic leave dry. Put in warm ivory dish water. Slide pictures right of the page.

I was at a flea market and there was some old door nobs I picked one up and someone else picked the other door nobs up, he wasn't setting it back down and I wasn't setting mine back down. I paid for it I ended up making it into a suicide nob for a steering wheel.

All in all, not bad! I've had to touch up the Mod Podge in a couple of places I didn't get in on thick enough. I think it could use a good clear coat to seal it all on more permanently....one of these days.....
