On Valentine's Day you get chocolates from maxed girl confidants. There are two types of chocolate: Romance and Friendship. You can only get one Romance chocolate on Valentine's Day with the girl you choose to hang out with. Any befriended max confidants will then give you a Friendship chocolate. Any other romanced confidants will be in this cutscene and you don't get any chocolate from them. the best thing to do is to delay getting rank 9 if you can then make an additional save file, one to romance just the one you want to romance, and one to romance everyone
