I'm not a pro or anything but gotta say that automating the "final mix" is pretty fun. :D All the hard lifting is done so you can just chill and listen the songs and do some minor adjustments to lift the end result to a different level.

do you use clip gain or volume post processing? Clip gain will effect compression if used but it frees up the fader for overall adjustment later. Which do you prefer?

This whole video is automating fader volume. (Post processing) FYI - Protools also has "fader trim" automation available which is post processing AND leaves the fader available for further adjustments.

Just my 50c and one can totally have a different opinion with me but then again, mixing is kind of an art.:D
