Sure is the hardest thing about trying to do speed runs in the UK. Finding somewhere long enough, smooth and quiet. Almost impossible! Nice run though. Hope you hit 100 soon.

@@HardcoreRC hey I have a Traxxas/with the 2000kv motor in it and I have the Max 6 ESC from hobbywing if I put a cap pack on it do you think it will keep the temperature down on my ESC the ESC gets warm the heatsink does but the Caps get really hot and that's only after like 5 minutes on 4S

Thanks, Max6 is temporary as its going in my EXB when it arrives, but will make the most of it and change the spool from 39 to 34 tooth. that should get us over the 100mph mark

1650kv is a good motor for sure, keep an eye on the temps of the max8 though if using with that ESC, probably better to get the Max6

@@HardcoreRC sir I do have the max6 in the infraction with the 1650kv and the max8 in my typhon with the motor from my infraction..I bought the typhon used for 300 and gave the guy the motor and esc back once I upgraded the infraction..the typhon I'll upgrade the motor just not sure yet on which?? I'm thinking 2200kv hobbywing?? Any suggestions sir? I'm happy with my infraction so far! I have two fans on the motor one on the esc diff we siliconed just ordered fast Eddie's bearings of course tires shes pretty fast..I also have the losi 22s upgraded of course all hobbywing. I didn't want castle bc everyone uses them.Anywho which motor should I get for the typhon? Like I said she has the max8 already. I've been in the electric game a year this December. My fiance bought the infraction for Christmas and the losi a few months back I got the typhon about 4months back. I have 3 nitros hpi rs4 and evo a Traxxas tmax all upgraded of course..

@@soulbrother3299 The 2200kv Hobby wing would be a good motor, but be quick as HB have stopped doing in and now doing a 2250kv one which is also sensored to pair up with the new sensored max8

Nice video bro, I purchased max6 yesterday and my friends telling me you cannot run 2200kv with the max6 as the motor limit should be 1500kv or less. Will it be dangerous on the esc?!

Didnt have any issues as you can see, Hobbywing ESC's are not like Castle one 😂😂 for Example Hobbywing sell the 1650kv with the Max6 in a combo

@@HardcoreRC I wouldnt do it a lot. The major difference is amp draw. Example the 4585 1580kv can pull 146 amps, the 1100kv version like 110. What makes it ok for higher kv motors is if its a smaller motor. I wonder how hot that motor gets after 4 runs in a row. I run the 1580kv and drive for about 40 minutes 6s stock 27t pinion. If im just speed running on a warm day and staying on the throttle i will hit esc thermals stock fan. I will be switching out to the 1100kv which is rated up to 8s. The 1580kv is 26v 146amps the 1100kv is 34v 110amps

I'm running 2200kv leapard motor 37p. Max6. Mine hit 197. But I can't run it back too back. She run hot. That's with three fans. She has too much power. I'm looking for someone too race

the 2200kv is really at its limits - it can just about hit 100mph. To really break the 100mph mark deed to get a bigger lower KV motor or go with a super powerful TP motor

Yep, we can smell the 100mph mark, did another run but never uploaded where we hit 99mph. Think we have found a good road now as well, just need to head out and see how busy it is 👍👍

Try some CNHL 6000mah 6S or x2 3S. I don’t 100 & then 106mph but needed the road

Thanks - dont think its the batteries as running Panther Graphene's which until recently had the best real world C rating and know for being very good with speed runs, that's why i bought 6 packs of them 😂😂😂 its mainly not enough time on the road, always panicking a car will come and also the range, just bought a RadioLink rc6gs (Tried a DumboRC but couldnt get the trim right and didnt seem to get to max throttle as we were slowing on the Dumbo). What ESC and Motor were you running o hit 106mph ?

Thanks for the idea - heat isnt the issue really, with the Max8 ESC we had to put power on gently. Max6 can take it so likely gear it up and put the 34 tooth spool back on. Still need a quite road though
