6:44 I actually had this toy when I was a kid and yes when you press the button on the Godzilla toy's belly the plastic in his mouth does light up red. I actually used it as a bit of dim flashlight before the light just stopped working all together.

Visited a homeless shelter that had a thrift store on the street level about 4 years ago. Was rummaging through a box of toys and a plastic bag with "Godzilla" caught my eye. It was the purple baby in the green egg. Wish I would have saw this video first. Took it out of the plastic bag, filled it with water, played with it and lost it in a house fire two years later.

Using its supposed dark themes for shock value, sub plots that went no where, characters never learning their mistakes and progressing, over reliance on plot induced stupidity, no tension over the protagonists winning since almost nothing negative happens to them effects them permanently.

The coup Starscream proposed to Breakdown went no where, Hardshell being set up as Bulkhead's new arch nemesis went no where, same with Dreadwing, nothing happened with zombie/vampire Airachnid and her zombie/Insecticon horde. Arcee never remembering her thirst for revenge and insubordination only hurts her team. Optimus allowing that behavior to continue by never reprimanding her. Megatron wanting Airachnid offline for taking the initiative in his absence while allowing being more lenient to Starscream for worse. Having his would be assassins Dreadwing and Breakdown uninformed of their mission, letting Airachnid escape and causing a third hostile faction and losing Breakdown. Being suspicious over Predaking and his Predacons just because he spoke, which was to pledge his loyalty to Megatron. Knockout betraying Starscream for mistreatment he received less from him than the Autobots he sided with, and choosing to participate in the almost impossible task of battling the zombified Predacon horde, which goes against his character of fleeing from fights he can't win. Bumblebee recovering from his damaged t-cog less than a minute after it was addressed. Bulkhead recovering from his near fatal injuries within a few episodes. Just because you like something, doesn't absolve it of its flaws.

Great work, man. I can confirm from my own set that the Hot Head Godzilla's mouth lights up red. Also interesting to note is that they used Godzilla's color pattern from the promotional materials (blue and gray) as opposed to the final charcoal pattern that was used in the show. I always assumed that's why the Baby Godzilla was purple.

Reminds me of how there was going to be a Green Lantern the Series toyline, but because the crappy movie toys never sold, none of the retailers would let the series get any merchandise, except for a McDonald's promotion. Figures the same thing would happen when a crummy movie gets an excellent TV show. As far as those particular Simpsons toys go, I have all of them except Hibbert. I purposely even got two of the Kangs and just pretended the other was Kodos. There were actually three Treehouse of Horrors Burger King Kids Meal promotions, and that was the second one. Only got a handful of the previous one, but managed to get the entire collection of the third. There was also some superhero promotion at some point, but the toys were different, and just not as good.

I think they went with a red light because red light uses less battery power to work, and makes the battery lasts longer. I have a Mewtwo toy from Burger King's 1999 promotion that was still lighting up the red eye glow up until 2015
