Hell na. Completely the opposite. I spend months learning everything in Fl. Because I wanted to switch. Then I made the final test. Made the same beat with the same vst and logic sounded better. Then I just dropped the same sample in both (a kick and snare) and it was too much of a difference. Just dropping the sample in u can hear the much better sound in logic. I switched back. All that time learning FL. Was a wasted. I really wanted to switch too. I bought Fl only gear and everything.

I’ve been wanting to switch cause I feel like I can always tell when a trap beat is made in logic to me it just sounds to clean and robotic
@XLRmusik
@XLRmusik 9 ай бұрын
@@05zianne nothing to do with where is made on that. U can always keep it off the perfect grid. But to each is own I don’t like the compromise of the sound quality and dynamics. Fl loses both. U can tell when a beat is made in Fl. Because is not as punchy. But some people like that sound

Or just put compression on the drum bus with a transient proccessor

@westbrooksburner
@westbrooksburner Жыл бұрын
@@gush35z67 No, I feel like you can always tell when a beat was on logic tho. it’s just a different sound than what you can make on fl, which happens to be a lot more popular & trendy in the genre. it’s not necessarily better or worse, but def appreciated differently

Clipping makes your beats hit harder.

Why not just put the overdrive on the 808 specifically 🤔 instead of the master

Do you not think so? I'm a logic user but I feel like on a default basis FL drums do hit a bit harder, you have to do a bit more tweaking with pro x for the same result I find. Depends on the mix and sounds you're using too obv.

No they don’t hit harder FL is designed to make production easier so that 13 year old producers can speed run albums in 15 seconds

@@WsgrMusic what DAW you on bro? Some say its coz FL just has the clipper on it by default so it sounds like it hits harder at first

This is… not a smart idea in my opinion. That shit is clipping so hard (and I can hear that even though a video about audio fidelity/quality is being recorded through a phone mic… yeah 🤦🏻‍♂️ but that’s a whole other issue…), plus the most important fact… it’s on the master fader, so EVERYTHING in the session will get run through it, whiiiiich… no. It’s unlikely you’ll want this result. Some super simple compression and some smart use of EQ (and some parallel processing if you REALLY want to get into it) and your drums will hit perfectly hard without just smashing the whole track through some distortion 👍

Dont let Timbaland corny azz fool u into thinking Logic has a "weird sound" Timbo can make some beatz but lackz skillz in the mixing feild and almost always pays someone else to catch his beats as he tracks em out and then mix them down. Then whoever records on his beat will most likely pay to get that song mixed and mastered again. Like the beatz coming out his MPC are really rough around the edges, im sure he cld get a decent mix himself too and I like Timbo, just not a fan of him hating on Logic and def skeptical of his whole Beat Club shenanigans and listening sessions. I know I jumped thru like 10 hoops and even a paywall and watched like 5 episodes in a row Live and they never played none of my music and just hated on all the beatz and producers and kept saying man can somebody pls send us something! In their defense the beatz were pretty low quality the last two nights but I just got frustrated and said yeah this aint for me brah, they an keep their stamp of approval! I been certified since Stankonia, even if I took a lil break to work on films! IMO if anything its excatly like Ocean said, the lows need a lil extra work. I also love the way u can do 808z in FL Studio and the stock FL sampler. I use the Logic sampler to about the same but its not the same same!
