I cannot believe I didn't use patterns up until now. It's fun doing it all in the midi keyboard as a musician, but I can much more easily visualize the pattern in neat blocks/using the repeater
@alexanderhendrickson46274 жыл бұрын
So, you can definitely do the whole convert to MIDI and separate by pitches thing, but you can ALSO just copy the yellow drum region and past it again and then go in and modify each one of those, which gives you the really easy ability to add custom stuff in without having to do a new MIDI region and draw or play all the notes out. It's a little less destructive. Great video!
@JamaalAbiade4 жыл бұрын
appreciate that alexander! yeah when i made this video it was within the first week of the update. so i will probably post a part 2 of this video soon since i have heard wayyyyyyy more tricks of the trade and easier ways to do everything

I've been using FL for years but last week, got a MacBook and decided to get Logic since I've heard it has amazing stock plugins and its only $200. However, in Logic trying to do drums was like pulling teeth. Things that would take seconds or minutes with FL were maddening with Logic!

Thank you sir... made my first beat from this video... I tried Ableton, MPC beats, FL studio, , and found those to be too technical for me .... Beats in reaper were possible but with a lot of messing around... Coming from reaper and guitar based music and from using garageband with its simplicity helped.... but it didnt help in those other daws... didnt know till recently that Logic was a lot like GB, which made things a lot less stressful in a new daw... Thanks

I can’t wait for them to allow you to upload all of your outside samples into the daw. You do have the option but it’s where you do it by clicking export and then add to loop library. It be so much easier to be able to go to sound library and uploading all the outside samples from there. But they don’t have that option. It be very convenient and so much easier on us to be able to do that.
