Charles, love what you are doing with the 8-string bass. Most (98%) players I've seen on KZbin are one dimensional when it comes to the 8-string, playing in a box. I've only had access to an 8-er one time and I was surprised how versatile these instruments are with a little creativity, imagination and desire to get out of the box.

Wow, I love your videos even though sometimes (like in this video) your playing is so good to the point it’s even discouraging - not saying you should stop I’m just so in awe that I can’t see me ever getting to your level. Something I would really like to see in a future video is seeing what someone at your level is maybe struggling with, towards what are you practicing and is there anything new you want to accomplish. from my intermediate-ish player point of view I don’t see where you can improve. Anyhow, love your videos, I always enjoy watching them and continue doing these amazing videos!

Most basses you see beyond 7 strings are ones just like that one. This one is a normal 4 string with 4 strings an octave higher(2 octaves of 4 strings). There's a 24-string bass that's an 8-string but with 2 more octaves per string(3 octaves of 8 strings). Davie played a 36-string bass which has octaves but the strings are more traditionally seperated to play at seperate times whereas this 8-string is meant for you to play the 2 octaves at once
@suppmydiff3257

@@kormendymatyas8667 Targeting 13y's is not the real problem here. Before he started talking in his videos he had to have real music content, even though it was meme based. After, he reduced music content and focused at memes only (which is more appealing to young people). Having his subs increasing fast he probably believed he can become a new ewdipie. To do this (he cannot imo) he will eventually have to do generic meme content and silly shit. Ewdipie had a gamers background which attracts much more people than a bass musician and guess what, even ewdipie's generic content is by far more than gamer. D504 is a good musician but he's going more and more arrogant along the way.

The sound from that bass is INSANE, your playing always sounds great but immediately I could tell the difference between the "richness" (for lack of a better term" in this bass and a 4-string, that sounded incredible, please keep playing the 8 string in future vids lol

Charles, you might very well entitle this video as the "hardest 8-string bass solo ever, but man....you make it look so easy! You are AMAZING!
