Bro same, Gaius was unnecessarily annoying and not worth what hew as guarding, as for the final boss, I got to the point where I was wondering if I was even going to win because I wasn't able to master some of his cheesy moves on Phase 2.

Ah yes The Hog Rider himself, I like many others hated this boss. I ended up using my Raptors of the Mist ash of war to dodge his charge attack. For extra survivability I suggest using some Boiled Crabs since they reduce physical damage taken by a lot, another option is a shield.
