This was the hardest video to edit....it was the hardest day of our life as we were saying goodbye to our son Braden for 2 years as he goes to serve a mission for our Church..The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was tough to send him off and drop him off at the MTC knowing that we were saying GoodBye for 2 years. We hope you enjoy this heart warming video showing the REAL LIFE of our Family as we say goodbye to our missionary ELDER PHILLIPS in one of the hardest days of our life.

Let me be honest I use to get mad when missionaries use to ring my door bell annoyed really and ever since I been watching your family and Ine's I feel so bad for how I was to them because now I think of Braden and if anyone would do as I did to him I be upset because Braden is a good soul so this and your family woke me up to the reality that it is for you guys and him so for that Im sorry how I use to be but thank you for your family vlogs and showing me through others eyes how it is for your views

I was the same way. But I also think things have changed. When I was a lot youngerlike 25-30 yrs ago the men who knocked on our door were very pushy. Now I have sat down with young ladies and had a great conversation and it was just about random stuff. Sure God was something they told me if I ever wanted to talk to call them and they gave me their cards but these girls were so sweet. They got to drive though. Not sure why they got to unless its safer for girls to drive since they are in dresses and bikes would be harder. Danny and Tina opening up about your faith with us has definitely opened my eyes more. Thank you...

I was pruning roses when 3 young men in suits came around the corner. Thought of Braden and Jed from the Moffats so gave them ice cold water and a BIG hug. Told them to always remember the sacrifices their families have made and to make them proud. The world is in their hands ....do good! Dang that felt so good cus I am guilty of always walking away in the past. Thanks to you and all you have shared..... I have learned some valuable lessons. Being kind goes a long way cus those young people have a family longing to have them home safely one day. Somehow keep those hearts 💕 as a reminder not only of Braden but all of us who love the FamBams......YOU!! ❤️❤️❤️💕💕💕❤️❤️❤️💕💕💕

Light bulb moment. Showing Braden's vulnerability, kindness and genuine love to his family, especially his younger siblings is exactly how he will be to those people in Oregon that he will come to love. They will feel and be filled of that same character that he has shown to you. Lucky are they. Lucky is he.

Oh goodness, I was doing good until Braden's face started to crumble when the man asked if he could help w/ his bags. I absolutely lost it & was sobbing like a baby!! How sweet of Elijah to send him an email so quickly. Ashlyn looked like she was struggling in the backseat after dropping Braden off. I know the struggle is going to be different for each & everyone of you. About the time I was getting myself back together y'all pulled up at home go find all the sweet notes from your "framily." I was a bucket of tears all over again. Always..... #prayforbraden #prayformissionaries #chooseyourday #elderphillips

My hardest goodbye is saying bye to my family. I am originally from Ohio after graduating from college in 2016, I made the decision to uproot from everything I know and make the move to Florida. I see my dad for 1 weekend every year and I see my mom for 1 week once every 2 years. The last time I saw my sister was 3 years ago at the airport when she and my mom dropped me off. My hardest goodbye will always be my family ❤️ good luck Braden!

Im not crying, your crying!! But seriously. I could barely make it through this vlog. I'm so proud for you guys and Braden. What a wonderful thing to serve and share the gospel with those who seek it. I prayed for years I would have the strength to get back into the church and it wasnt until my little family moved to another state and my husband who at the time wasnt a member became friends with a couple of young missionary men in our complex that changed my life for ever. I have now been active for 4 years an 2 years ago I went through the temple for the first time. I'm so happy you guys are sharing this tender moment with us. Love you guys!! Will keep Braden an fellow missionaries in our prayers!!

That was so hard to watch the emotional roller coasters, but I am so grateful that you shared it! I was also one of those people to “ignore” missionaries and your family had a major impact on me! Not only in being more accepting, in general, but I faithfully have gone back to Church and feel so much more of a sense of purpose! I have the FamBam to thank for that ❤️ your family will always have a special place in my heart. I know Braden may not see this comment for a long time, but the tenderness he showed as he was leaving was so beautiful. It says so much about the fantastic head he has on his shoulders, but more importantly, what’s in his heart is so pure and genuine . So glad I discovered your channel ✨🥰✨

My hardest goodbye was when I told my mother that my husband and I were moving to Michigan she gave us the biggest smile, but oh it was so so hard to go. My mother had dementia and by that time she was confined to special chairs or bed and had lost her ability to speak, I was so lucky that she still knew who we were but it was so hard to move over five hundred miles away. 😢 She died a year later that was six years ago she has been gone for five years and I still miss her so much. We lost my dad ten months after my mom.

Wow. Just wow. I live in NYC and frequently see young men and women in the subway who are clean cut, fresh scrubbed people. They stick out quite prominently. I had no idea that they are probably missionairies. I feel ashamed. Everyone is so wrapped up in thier lives. Barreling through the subway to get to work or drudge home. We ignore these young people with smiling faces, holding paper cards. Inviting people to dinners somewhere. No one makes eye contact with them. Tina...I promise I iwll stop and chat with the next ones I see. xo .. KK

The hardest goodbye I have had to do was when I made the hardest decision of my entire life of giving my daughter that I gave birth to almost 7 months ago up for adoption. No judging from anybody please but I was one of those people who didn’t know I was pregnant, was on birth control that obviously failed, but I know God gave me her at this time because he knew somebody was wanting a child that they couldn’t have on their own so he chose me to have one for them. I was finishing up culinary school and two teenagers already that I’m struggling to give them what they want so I was in no position to have another child. As hard as it was to make this decision, I am glad I could give a gift to somebody else. I get to see pictures of her though and she is beautiful.

I just watched this for the first time. What an incredible man Braden has become. The sacrifice he and your family are making for God is amazing. Little did you all know that this was the last time Braden would be in that house. On to new beginnings. God bless you all

I agree with you. There are many different religions out there but no matter what religion we all have to respect the sacrifices your family and Braden are making to do the right thing. Braden is an inspiration and you should be very proud of him.

It feels impossible right now bu so promise it does get easier. When my husband leaves for his deployments I’m a wreck for a week. Set yourself a countdown. Life will fly by and sending care packages and writing letters helps so much. Think back to Sept 2017 and how fast the past two years went by. That’s what helps me get through when he’s gone. Y’all are an amazing family and you’ll see him turn into a man when he comes home. The homecoming and memories/experiences he makes will be worth the heartache. Praying for y’all. ❤️

Danny and Tina, I am so sad for you and the kids. Braden, you are an amazing young man. Go out there and do what God has asked you to do. Saying good-bye is always the hardest thing to do. It was equally hard for him. I know how proud you must be of him. He is doing a wonderful thing and he has chosen what happens for the next two years for his life. He is more grown than most 18 years old. I watched each of the kids say goodby. Elijah was fighting the tears when he was looking up at Braden and I could see the struggle Braden was having to keep his exposure. Give the kids a hug for me and tell them to stay strong. Tina, hang in there, as a mother, I completely understand the heartache you must feel. Danny, what a wonderful greeting to pull up to your home and see all of the hearts plastered all over your door. The love your friends/family have shown you all. Praying for all of you and Heavenly Father knows the heartache you are having at missing your oldest. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ here are my hearts for all of you. Love to all of you.

Thank you for sharing. I have an LDS Church one block from my house. When I see young boys on bus I know they are missionaries. I always try to take time to talk to them. Now through this testimony I will try harder ❤️😘🙏 Honest I do speak to the young men. I don’t drive. So I do see these men with me on bus. Thank you for sharing.❤️

WOW, this was really sad for me to watch!! I cried so much. I want to wish Braden the best of luck on this journey he is embarking on. Tina, I felt your pain, my son will be leaving home for the first time to embark on a job that calls for him to leave us. He has never lived any where else and he’s going to be 25 this October. I am so sad 😭 but I know this is his calling. As a mom to another mom be strong, pray and just know everything will be Fine!! God bless you all. ❤️

Thank you for sharing these moments. I cried. It took me back to when I had to say goodbye to my brother, my friends and recently my nephew. I did however get to welcome my other nephew home from his mission. He served in Portland Oregon. His homecoming was when Braden had his farewell. It honestly didn’t feel like he was gone for two years. The time went slow at first, but once you get adjusted, time will fly and you’ll be welcoming Braden back home. I did notice a lot has changed with the MTC. We were able to go inside the MTC, when we dropped off my brother and friends. We would watch a video and when it was over, we would have to say goodbye. They would say missionaries go this way, family and friends go the other way and that was it. The way it is now, seems a lot harder. I love how you guys get to talk to Braden once a week instead of how it used to be. That’s so comforting. Could you guys go to the Airport if you wanted to? I remember we could go for my brother but it did make that much a harder again to say goodbye. When I saw Braden cry, it broke my heart. Watching him patting everyone on the back was so cute. What a wonderful man. You should hold your head high, Danny and Tina. You both are such great examples to your kids and it shows with how your kids are. Thank you again for sharing your last couple of days with Braden and thank you again for making my heart smile with your vlogs. You’re a beautiful family.

I have missionaries come into Walmart once in a while. I do speak with them as they go through self-checkout. Yes they are people just like anybody else. I enjoy speaking with them they are very polite and courteous. This video here is so touching thank you for sharing with all of us . I have so many tears at the end of this video when he had to leave. I know there is a purpose for him to going out sharing what he knows about the Lord Jesus Christ. Braden you will do good I have so much Faith you're going to do awesome. You are so blessed Tina and Danny you have five beautiful kids. And I know they're going to help change the world. Children are our future . ❤️🤗❤️🤗❤️ .

I have to thank you for recording this emotional good-bye.. I am not of your religion but what he is doing at his young age is amazing!!!!!!! And to me, this video shows the more vulnerable side of you that you dont always show! I had a box of tissues by me watching the Moffats and I think between the 2 of I used at least half the box. But my grandma and mom always said you need to show your emotions, if you hide them they become toxic... So I do and my male bosses are usually uncomfortable when I need to talk to them but they know I let it all out. Happy, sad or mad I am usually in tears. So please NEVER EVER be sorry for showing your emotions especially on this day!!!!!!!!!! Love you all!!!!!

So the hardest goodbye is when I had to go to Las Vegas without my spouse. My parents had me move with them, and I had 2 young kids. My spouse and I decided it was best, that was the first time I saw my spouse cry. The reason why because he needed to stay behind to find a job. We we're only apart for 4 4 months, but it was so long. Your will be blessed for your hard work. The Lord loves you for your decision. You have a family that love you, and the best part is that you get to talk to them every week.

This is so hard to watch! I hate goodbyes😕 My hardest goodbyes were my mom & grandma when they passed away. We were by their bedsides😢Hardest goodbye other then that is every time I have to say goodbye to my husband who lives in Canada. We still live miles apart until I move there next year☹️ Btw, I get car sick when I look down at a book, magazine,my IPad or phone. I don’t get sick sick though...nor nauseous then anything.... Until we see you again, stay blessed Brandon. You’re doing so much good for others. 2 years will fly by! Believe me👍😉

My 5 year old daughter had many questions about this video. We both cried. I'm not a religious person I respect it & fascinated by various beliefs but it's not for me. Explaining what Braden will be doing for the next 2 years she was so intrigued. Listening to some of her responses though made me think about a lot of things in our life that perhaps my kids take for granted and although we are not religious I believe everyone should give back when they can. Showed me today that my kids need to see that a little more how giving something so basic can mean the world to someone who has nothing.
