Chris Brown has said in an interview that the reason why you can sing other people’s words is because not everyone can sing. But he said anyone can rap so you have to rap your own stuff… something along those lines. Anyway, first time hearing him rap too.
@xwr3ksh0px8 ай бұрын
Great saying, rappers having stuff written for them expresses 0 talent, the main talent in creating rap is being able to write it, if you can’t write it then you aren’t a rapper, but singing in and of itself is a talent regardless of who wrote it, and most of the time a talented singer can bring those words to life better than the person who wrote it

Firstly, there is intriguing speculation that the opening line of "The Weakest Link" ("Hey, Chris, I don't want no issues, bruh, I don't want no smoke, I don't wanna fight you, I don't wanna do nothin', bruh, Like, please, bruh") might belong to Soulja Boy and is a reused recording. However, I can confirm that the initial part before the voice recording ("Now we can settle this like you got some class or we can get into some gangster sh*t") is a quote from the 1973 movie "The Mack." In the movie, the line is spoken by a character named China Doll, a pr*st*t*t*. She offers herself to a p*mp called Goldie over her previous p*mp, Pretty Tony. Pretty Tony is angered by the situation and is determined to win her back. Secondly, I think Chris Brown had some help from other songwriters, but Genius has nothing. Also, I think they used "Hit Em Up" as inspiration. While we're at it, Knox, could you react to more diss tracks that don't involve Eminem, such as "No Vaseline" or "The Bridge is Over"? Lastly, Knox, if you're not keeping up with the news regarding Drake's "Taylor Made," 2Pac's Estate has given Drake a request regarding his "Taylor Made Freestyle" diss against Kendrick Lamar. According to Billboard, the Estate's litigator, Howard King, has sent a cease-and-desist letter to Drake for using a computer-generated replica of the West Coast icon's voice on his latest song. This has sparked significant controversy, with the Death Row Records legend's family threatening to "pursue all of its legal remedies" if he doesn't pull down the track within 24 hours of receiving the notice. "The Estate is deeply dismayed and disappointed by your unauthorized use of Tupac's voice and personality," the note reads, "Not only is the record a flagrant violation of Tupac's publicity and the Estate's legal rights, but it is also a blatant abuse of the legacy of one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time. The Estate would never have given its approval for this use." To this point, Pac's brother has also publicly reprimanded Drake for the AI assists. According to an article published by TMZ earlier this week, Mopreme Shakur thinks it was inappropriate for the 6 God to use his sibling to disrespect another rapper. He reportedly feels that the "Hotline Bling" hitmaker should've gone one-on-one with K. Dot rather than resort to what he calls the "nuclear option." Hey there! So, I have a confession to make. You know that comment I posted earlier? Well, turns out it wasn't all me. I had help from not one but two sources. First, there was the Genius annotation I borrowed from, and then there was the AI that helped me rework it. And let's remember Grammarly, my trusty sidekick in all things grammatical. It took a village to craft that comment, and I'm glad we could all be part of this collaborative effort, right? My secret weapon for crafting comments is the playful and creative process of using Grammerly AI. To make this, I simply type in 'make it funny but add detail.' It's like having a witty friend who always knows how to add that extra spark to my words.
