With Demi-Fiend being one of my personal favorite SMT characters & hearing you could face him in Digital Devil Saga, I couldn't resist the challenge to face him. Then hearing he's arguably one of the hardest JRPG bosses ever made, made me want to face the man even more! Times I have failed this fight...too many to count. Would I do it again? Hell no...

Man, I swear that when I did it was almost the same. first I didn't have idea how tough he was and I run with null skills. After learning my lesson I face him several times but I failed. After that I leave the game for many months but I had promised myself don't play dds2 until I beat Hitoshura and it was unevitable at the end. So here we go one more time I was doing great but I killed Pixie near to the end and then shit got real. I won. You are forgetting how for Elizabeth specifically most players will rely on using Armageddon to end the fight a hell of a lot sooner, otherwise battle an opponent who may never actually go down, that and forced-solo makes it far less forgiving than satan or demi-fiend Not to mention how with Demi Fiend you can actually just stall MP loss for his companions and take him out before any of his demons if you want to, really easy then, especially since he doesn't have a timer unlike elizabeth where she'll crack out Pixie. Then Satan just has one rule to follow where you have to hit em like four times with a specific move to prevent being OHKOed; Elizabeth's set pattern, and the existence of Armageddon are what make her possible; otherwise there would be no actual real method of combating her; hell Satan and the Demi-Fiend both become extremely easy if you use the party member who is weak to ailments; particularly the demi fiend. Though; doesn't Satan also follow a particular pattern as well?

ネミッサ mediarahan doesn't function without MP, all of his demons can run out of that, the downside to having set MP values This is SMT/Persona though; outlasting the Demi-Fiends Demons isn't exactly exploitative, and neuters him pretty effectively, and again turning damage taken down heavily does weaken elizabeth, but there still is a general timer before that stops mattering, even Satan's move-restricting is actually part of how he has to be approached; since he actually follows a set pattern where he will either start his turn with an OHKO or the move Temptation, I forget which turn pattern it is he follows since it's been a while, but his moves are set and he is DESIGNED to be approached that way or he will OHKO; I don't know why they took that design approach but they did I would also like to mention how the Demi-Fiend isn't ACTUALLY as canonically powerful as he is made out to be, even when he "beats" Lucifer it was obvious Lucifer wasn't going all out; that and the Demi-Fiend also is apparently supposed to die to Raidou by mistake (That's the name right?) in order to even show up in IV Apocalypse's *Canon* DLC This is a bit different than Elizabeth who can fight the manifestation of all of Humanity's wills to die and Oneshot it, and do remember that in SMT and Persona alike the wills of even a few humans could create or neuter potentially omnipotent gods, that's how you kill YZHZ in IV Apocalypse to begin with The beings who rule over power itself are a *bit* tougher than given credit; specifically Elizabeth

Champ Gary I think it's called the Red Star plan. It's a tough ass plan though, you'll have to get mad lucky. Cause there's a counter for her casts except for Dekunda. If her casts hit the 30 turn marker she completely heal Demi-Fiend. Recarmda basically and a new demon takes her place in battle. Utter BS

It isn't the real Demi-Fiend, it's just a data copy of him with a fragment of his power. The real one probably passed through the DDS universe at some point, grinded for a bit and maybe recruited a demon or two before leaving and they managed to get some of his combat data to make this replica.

6:18 Here’s the fun part. She’s still with him in SMT V. That’s right. HE CAME BACK AGAIN. …they nerfed him though. He doesn’t use Gaea Rage if you have resistances. Probably because you both have demons you can summon. But…he has Chaotic Will which can instant kill all your allies (even if it misses it cuts your Press Turn icons down by half) and Freikugel which doesn’t hit AS HARD as it used to…and he also has Gaea Rage. There is a rare chance he will use it. And when it happens, you best have Enduring Soul or you are FUCKED.

So he'll use Gaea Rage right after summoning Pixie and Parvati (who uses Dormina to give you a chance). Aside from that and equipping illegal moves, he'll use Gaea Rage after 30 turns (not turn icon I believe) of not using it.

One of the hardest JRPG bosses i know of is the Unsealed Pringer X! From Disgaea 2. Only because it takes so long to grind to be able to fight them. One guy i know took 3 months of grind to get the levels and gear.

well officially you can play it on the ps3 or go classic and get a ps2 copy. other than that...emulation. The PS2 era of smt games, aside from Nocturne, havent been re-released yet and probably never will. At least for Raidou cause...the time frame he takes place was a big no no in regards of real life

There is something clever about realizing that enemies has their own sp bars too. Which then becomes funny when you realize if you take full advantage of that mechanic in any megaten game that features that, it becomes funny when you full on cripple an enemy.

That's a fake demi fiend. The real world one is either setting on his a$$ after creating a new world, or hanging out with his friends in the freedom ending or just setting doing nothing cuz he killed Yhvh and there is nothing left for him to do.

is demi-fiend harder than Satan. Cause i faced Satan and got wiped because i didn't do enough damage to him fast enough at the end. I miss counted my charges. i only used charged twice and i though i charged 3 times. ending in a wipe.

IMO, they're both up there in difficulty. But I lean Demi-Fiend is harder just cause it REALLY relies on luck why Satan relies on calculations. Literal math

@@JeromeTelos you are right Satan only really hard if you don't prepare, you don't max out your charges and if you don't nuke him after he reach a certain amount of health. i have plenty of secret boss videos but when i lost to satan the first time i some how saved over my progression. using an emulator. so i can get to it again but its a grind. i was streaming it so i think i have to do like shiva the bosses after that. think i did the frost jack boss. on DD1 i have to play the hole game over lol.

Did you collect your prize in DDS2? Several things carry over between 1 and 2, and if memory serves beating Demifiend gives a ring equipment in part 2.

Yea, I beat all the SMT games that I could on Stream years ago. Only things I can’t capture is my 3DS cause that requires mods so bump that Now its a waiting game for them to port over the 3DS SMT games

@@JeromeTelos SJ, Devil summoner and IV are great. I'm not into Srpgs which is the only thing keeping me from doing the survivor games. I didn't bother with PQ or PQ2, and I wasn't a fan of apocalypse. What I meant was that beating Demifiend nets you a ring in the second game. It seemed that you had done months of hiatus between some of the attempts from the type in the vid and had likely completed DDS2 by that point. I was wondering if you had restarted you DDS2 play through for no other purpose than to receive the ring you get as your prize (like I did).
