So while I understand, that Munchlax in DPPT is super tedious to aquire, I believe Beldum is equally as bad imo. Beldum's swarms are much more tedious to find since its a random route once a day to get a swarm for plus you'd need the swarm to be Route 228. If anything, Sinnoh could have been a tie entry for both Munch and Beldum. Both are equally really annoying lol.

Are we all forgetting about the Feebas pond in DPPt? You gotta go through cave after cave probably lost as hell dealing with tough high level wild Pokemon. Then there is the room itself: Just 4 tiles where it has a chance to spawn, and they change every day? Ouch. At least in BW and BW2, you had a rare chance to find a whole Milotic on Route 1 if you fish in the rippling water and not deal with Feebas' bullcrap, who also is on Route 1 in the ripples. I hit the jackpot when I found a shiny Milotic down there in Black 1. Oh Jewels... You were worth it.
@akilcharles3473 Жыл бұрын
Finding any of these Pokemon with a rare chance of 1% is difficult as it is, but not as much as finding them as a shiny makes it worth even more problematic. The most of anything is a Sinistea that's both authentic & a shiny Pokemon, god bless anyone that has/was able to catch 1 of those in Sword & Shield. Also now looking back at older generation games from gen 1-5, as much as we fans tend to critized Gamefreaks direction in the newer Pokemon games with it's artstyle and gameplay, it makes it much easier to able catch Pokemon and do things that we cannot do in the older games. Such as leveling up our team faster with Rare Cadies/Exp candies, able to switch our Pokemon abilities,earn money faster and so on.

I spent three days on-and-off until I finally caught the second one.

Or if you encounter missing no and multiply the master ball, you can just catch them that way too.

I think that for S/M and US/UM, Politoed is more difficult to catch for more difficult requirement you need for you to encounter it. The only way you can got it is either evolve your Poliwhirl by trafing, which doesn't count, and the SOS battle in Malie Garden. Although it can spawn with any Pokemon and the catch rate is higher than Dhelmise with 45, you need to setup rain to encounter it at night with only 1% to spawn. It is already frustrating to get the Politoed to spawn, it got Perish Song, which you either used Taunt, or hope that it doesn't use one or even hope that you can catch it before the count down ended. So, you need a Rain setter with Taunt and False Swipe (to keep one Pokemon alive for calling allies), otherwise, it is very difficult. Mr Mime with Soundproof, Skill Swap (but it can also learn Taunt, which is better) and Rain Dance can do too but it doesn't have False Swipe. I actually got a shiny Poliwag and got my Pokemon infected by Pokérus because of that.

Finding that one water cave is crazy difficult to start with in Kitakami, but then once you do find it, Feebas only has a 1% spawn rate, AND all the spawns will be clogged by barboaches, Whiscashes, and all the other cave pokemon. Even if you make a water encounter sandwich, you still have to deal with all the stupid Barchoaches that’ll spawn before Feebas does. Plus, Feebas can spawn under the water, in the dark cave, so there are chance you won’t even see it when it does spawn. Feebas will always be a pain. forgot pokemon go not counting raid pokemon we have ,galar moltres not only comes from dayli incense wich is once a day for 15 min but has a 1 pokeball trow and from the 3 birds has the rarest weather boost to help it spawn being fog , and tied with moltres is the lake trio wich have the same restriction on 1 ball toss on top of being a 1 minute spawn and only spawning near "big" lakes wich is very subjective for pokemon go .

Hardest pokemon to catch for me in violet was applin... pre dlc of course. It took me like 5 houra of smacking into trees for one to drop. My wife thought i was going insane because i was begging for it to appear every time a smacked a tree.

if glitches count, i would include mew from gen 1. first, unless you read about the glitch in the first place, you would never know that mew actually exist in-game legitimately. then once you do discover the 2 chances, you most likely are not prepared since you would only be in cerulean city with your 3 pokemon not being at a good enough level to have sleep or paralysis moves. second, being unprepared, you probly wont have more than 5 pokeballs and also have no idea that you can't rematch mew aside from that 2nd encounter, which in itself can take hours figuring out. then if you have accidentally defeated both trainers that trigger mew in the glitch, you're screwed. for anyone that doesn't know the trainers, its the jr trainer on the route to bills house, and the first trainer in misty's gym. atleast thats the only 2 im aware of.

I actually was able to catch a shiny antique form of sinistea, mind you it was during an outbreak in Pokemon Violet. It was a pleasant surprise for me. ❤

Kangaskahn in first gen is the hardest pokemon to catch. I've played Pokémon Blue more than any other video game probably haha

Dunsparse in gen 2 were pretty rare. The encounter rate for them was so low.

I stopped after the 1st reveal in Kanto. Chansey can be caught very easy in the Cerulean Cave. Tauros and Kangaskhan are the hardest Pokemon to catch in Kanto. With Tauros beeing slightly Number 1, because you need more Steps to go the Area, where Tauros has the highest encounter rate.

you can flash/thunder wave Beldum to lengthen the encounter. not a super unknown combo, but one I've had success with

In gen3 the feebas can always be caught under the bridge near the the weather station, guaranteed

It's hard to argue any pokemon being difficult to catch in Scarlet and Violet in my opinion. Throw quick ball, and bam easy catch most times.
