Great show, i definitely learned some of what I was wanting too . But i didn't get to see the heating up process. Im current putting a welding rig truck together to start up my own business. After 24 year's as a structural steel iron worker, im ready to come on down and work easier these days. But no , i definitely picked up some knowledge from your show.

Used to hard surface parts for the railroad company and used Stoody wire. I also worked in a scrap yard back in the 80s, and we would use 11018 rods to buildup the spiders on the shaft of a hammermill. Technology has improved a lot since then. It's cool to see just how tough the material is once you apply it.

What kind of head cover do you use on your welding helmet to keep the sunlight out? I need that. I think we have the same hood.

Respirator my guy, the smoke from those hard facing rods are crazy toxic.

So are the cigarettes. It’s kinda like getting a Diet Coke when you order a Big Mac.

@@Buzzkillco I’m not the guy in the video. I’m just saying. He was puffing on them cigarettes. Ain’t no point in wearing a respirator if your paying to suck tar into your lungs.
