I think they will retain Hardik ... they made this decision for the future and Rohit is not going to give u 2 to 3 years more consistently at this time also he is not in gud form for MI last 3 seasons so i think they will stick with Hardik and will sort out the issues in the team off the season and make the team environment correct to next season. I think MI should change Head Coach because he is not able to take that upper hand innovative strategies to make things peaceful in the team so I think some one like Jayavardane should be back to make things smoother

Hardik was at an amazing position/situation at GT. He was building a fanbase, brand value, perception of who he is as a captain and importance on the field. I can understand his decision to go back and captain it. MI is one of the most successful and influential club there is. But the waters have been poisoned this year. Neither can he go back to GT nor the MI crowd warming up to him. I dont see MI crowd warming up to Hardik anytime soon and if Rohit does leave as it is being rumored and circulated, MI has shot themselves in the foot. The best course of action I would say for Hardik is to go to a franchise like Punjab or SRH. Becasue they dont have any iconic Indian Lineup/brand value. Buzz(be it positive or negative) from indian contingent. Yes, SRH has been grooming Abhishek and Nitish looks good, but no other go to indian iconic name. They were able to create that brand value with Warner bcz warner is a "character", but the emotional connect to the indian like how Rajasthan has for Sanju or KKR with GG or Delhi with Pant...3 majors....MSD, VK and RS for CSK, RCB and MI.....that connect is missing on both of them. Punjab has always been a clueless club...it was just never there....got to Punjab...build something there...make it a force and create a brand value for it....that will be the biggest comeback anyone can ever dream of..!!

Rohit Sharma has spoiled the team atmosphere and needs to be thrown out asap from MI. His ego is too big to play under another captain. Also, in the last 3-4 yrs, his batting performances in T20 have been extremely poor. Once Rohit is gone, need to ask SKY and Bumrah if they are going to be professional, and if not, then they need to be let go as well. Hardik should be retained and given some time to prove himself.

He literally left MI after winning 2 back to back title went to GT & won a trophy & a runners up while MI didn't even make to a final during those years & finished at the bottom of the table under Rohit's captaincy in 2022.
