I was really surprised to hear about the bad reception of Disharmony. I still give that record a spin every now and then! Just got into this podcast last week, working my way through it! Keep up the good work!

Someone explain to me why "Disharmony" was seemingly not so well liked? I fucking love it, I don't understand the hate..

I feel like people were still jamming or trying to wrap their heads around In Love There Is No Law. That's how it was for me, anyway. By the time In Love clicked for me, it was like Disharmony just floated by. It's a shame that other people haven't given that album the credit it deserves as there are some bangers on that bitch.

Around 2013, when Twitching Tongues released their record was a very cool time for hardcore. The best new hardcore bands were on Southern Lord, so there was this brand new metal-crossover that was really really interesting and solid. Twitching Tongues got signed to Metal Blade around that time and the record was just too far of a step for most people to understand why they did what they did.

@@noname-ng6sj i don't think the fantano review helped matters either tbhhh
@noname-ng6sj2 жыл бұрын
@@_arfarf_x Yeah, but see, that only happened because he liked Nails. TT were never that sort of band, ever...and they changed even more on that record. Having a solid image would've helped and negated a lot of bs by bringing in new people. Looking back at it, it was a very weird time.

long story short.. people are just fucking clown shoes. It was the crowd mentality and given what was cool at the time people really couldn't wrap their heads around something like that record in HC at the time. Disharmony rocks tho mfs are just afraid to like shit that doesn't have the dork stamp of approval

Love the euro hate, couldn't even begin to explain why no one has AC here or why we have windows that only open a few inches.
