I’m offended by the way Collin talks about how shitty his lyrics are being written by an 18 year old…. That’s what makes it GOOOOD. So many bands that stick around lose their lyrical angst over a 10 year stint in hardcore, life starts getting better, teenage angst mellows out and the lyrics get soft. “Why can’t i love, why can’t i care at all, why can’t i cherish anything” “help me before i help myself” “the razors edge can’t grant you the salvation that you seek” sure a lot of the other songs are about heartbreak and women… but godamn that’s a big part of life for people, it’s still relatable all these years later.

colin- I am trying to understand your take on melodic hardcore. many of the bands I would put in that category most definitely have pits. counterparts, shai hulud, comeback kid etc. misery signals' of malice and the magnum heart, for example, is the master killer of melodic hardcore IMO and is also extremely heavy. hope to hear more on the subject. also I missed the last whatnot but I want a hardlore shirt so bad. xo
