Randy Blythe and Mitch Lucker were the ones to get me into screaming vocals. When I finally got around to The Acacia Strain, Vincent really helped me find my perfect balance of screaming Vocals. I hate that he acts like that didn't change the genre but also, I completely understand that stance because I would do the same thing. " I didn't do shit; I am just here doing it."

I wouldn't compare on broken wings to acacia strain. Acacia strain is from my area and i know some of the founding members. On broken wings is a great band that still holds up on a sonic level but they didn't play in drop A and they had more metallic hardcore elements.

My band opened that tour with harms way, stray and TAS in Oakland years ago. We kinda got screwed in time because the guy running the show had a another band open last minute. TAS tour manager, Bruce, gave the guy some crap and then the promoter heard of this and gave us another show to open up for asking Alexandria and emmure lol. Will always remember this.

I was in the same place as Vincent, couldn’t recognize myself in the mirror anymore. Started exercising again in Sept 2019, then picked up intermittent fasting that following Dec and haven’t missed a day. I’m the best I’ve ever felt, and picked up Muay Thai last April. One of my fav things about this change in my lifestyle tho is that I’m moshing the best I ever have in my life and I’m fucking 35!

Been one of my main listens for these past few month. Finally saw them a few weeks ago with Full Of Hell and Fit For An Autopsy and delivered one of the best sets I’ve ever seen.

The most amazing moment of 2022 for me was seeing TAS play a church basement with a capacity of 350 that also has a record store above it. Shout out to Preserving Underground here in Pittsburgh, it was a legendary moment and one of the best shows I’ve ever seen.

I loved Vincent's behind the scenes with tour booking. I saw Lamb of God, Unearth, ETID and Atreyu all at the same show in Scottsdale in 2004/05 time frame. I count myself beyond lucky for that line-up.

a little late to this video but I laughed at the food conversation where Vincent's talking about getting taco bell back in the day and one of my favorite memories is when I was working at taco bell I made food for him one night then was front row at the acacia strain an hour later at a home town show. pretty sure it was with terror, Gaza and the red chord.
