The fact that he is so humble about how many lives they have impacted is nuts. I went to see them first at 16 years old. I’m 31 still listen to them almost daily.

Vince is too modest. He needs to give himself and the musicians that have been in the band over the years more credit for what they’ve done musically for people. It has nothing to do with ego. Just accept it

AS is hands down one of the most universally respected bands in the scene. Even when everyone hated ‘core, they got a pass. They’ve also been doing side quests with their new albums and winning over the metal elitists. Absolutely incredible band.

Randy Blythe and Mitch Lucker were the ones to get me into screaming vocals. When I finally got around to The Acacia Strain, Vincent really helped me find my perfect balance of screaming Vocals. I hate that he acts like that didn't change the genre but also, I completely understand that stance because I would do the same thing. " I didn't do shit; I am just here doing it."

My band opened that tour with harms way, stray and TAS in Oakland years ago. We kinda got screwed in time because the guy running the show had a another band open last minute. TAS tour manager, Bruce, gave the guy some crap and then the promoter heard of this and gave us another show to open up for asking Alexandria and emmure lol. Will always remember this.

The Acacia Strain is a whole ass experience. Best grooves, best breakdowns, and holy fuck.... the ABSOLUTE BEST LYRICS/VOCALS.... Out of all the "core" bands, they've reeeeeally stood out, and raised the bar. If i ever made music, they'd definitely be an inspiration.

I wouldn't compare on broken wings to acacia strain. Acacia strain is from my area and i know some of the founding members. On broken wings is a great band that still holds up on a sonic level but they didn't play in drop A and they had more metallic hardcore elements.

During the brief three years I played in a touring band back in the early 00's much of my fondest memories are made up of sleeping in vans, inbetween vans in parking lots, under a boardwalk, on a boulder, near a lake, handful of picnic tables, some pool floats, plenty of floors. Good times.
