Side note: My song "About Time" is down on streaming services today, the file had to be replaced. It should reappear tomorrow! EDIT: It's still not up, my distributor seems to be having some kind of problem. I'll update this again when it is definitively back up. EDIT 2: It is definitively back up

I would love a technique iceberg video. That sounds like an excellent idea.

I'd like to highly thank you for inspiring all of us the Ramones fans across the world. I do not think you went unnoticed during this period of time, the influence you have left is certainly in all of us. I just wish you all the success in your new musical project and looking forward for the upcoming guitar covers.

So great to hear about you! I am a Ramones fan since I was kid, you've been teaching me how to play like Johnny for a long time, really hyped for the Johnny technique video!

Dude, your covers are so perfect, I would support any content you do. Out of most content creators on KZbin, you definitely have the skills to succeed as a content creator on KZbin. And yes I would love you dissecting Johnny Ramone's guitar technique, cuz I wanna be able to play their songs tightly.

Glad to see you back! You've helped me massively improve my guitar technique in general when it comes to the Ramones. Looking forward to the complete breakdown of Johnny's guitar techniques!

Great news all around! I’m stoked for your album, and for the Johnny technique video. I picked up a lot of the technique from studying your covers of the first four albums, but I’d still love to hear you talk about it.
@HardlyRamone9 ай бұрын
I appreciate your support on the channel over the years! It's been awesome to see people really pick up on Johnny's stuff watching my videos, that's most of why I started making them. There are some nuances to Johnny's playing that I honestly don't think I've heard anyone replicate yet, though. They can only be heard and reverse engineered, not really seen. It makes me think I need to just get the info out there, even if I still want to get around to a more "produced" tutorial series some time.

@@HardlyRamone I have no doubt I’ll still learn a lot! Plus it should just be fun to dig into it a little deeper.

Great to see you're still around. Will you ever make a video about your vocal journey as well?
@HardlyRamone9 ай бұрын
Oh, I've never even considered that, haha. Maybe? It's been a long journey. I basically wrote "About Time" in 2013, started recording it, and then realized I couldn't sing... even a little bit. I'm not sure why I thought I'd be able to suddenly sing a compelling vocal just because I could hum the melody & write down words. Since then, I started practicing singing while playing my guitar, paying better attention to vocals in songs, and eventually got really serious about honing technique/watching tutorials/doing real exercises. If I ever make a more detailed video on how I learned, it'll be on the new Foxxear channel. Hardly Ramone will likely stay a Ramones content channel
@BlackacreDoe9 ай бұрын
Glad to see you back! About Time sounds great, and would love Johnny guitar tutorials in the future but will support whatever you decide to make content on. Also would love to do a Paramore collab cover one of these days!

Your new video reminded me I was going to type a real reply to this, ha! I followed your band insta from my new artist page, very interested in your upcoming EP. And thanks so much for the support, man! I'm still wanting to cover something off Riot! with you in the future, I think I'll be able to get back into more guitar covers with my new "one cover at a time" idea. Like I said in the video, committing to learning/practicing/performing/shooting/editing/mixing guitar covers of entire albums at once just hasn't proven feasible on my modern day schedule

Waiting for that technique video like I wait for christmas presents.
@HardlyRamone3 ай бұрын
I scripted 90% of it like half a year ago now and have been making little revisions and tweaks since then before committing to it. Planning to film soon. I consider it one of the more important videos to ever hit this channel

Its kinda wild I got recommended the 10 year old song video just randomly a week or two ago, had no idea it was you. Small KZbin world.
@HardlyRamone9 ай бұрын
Ha! I always wondered if KZbin sent content from other channels I run to Hardly Ramone subscribers. Maybe it did. You may have seen or been recommended other videos on other channels that I work behind the scenes on either way, who knows.
