It's crazy that given how deep Daniel was going to stick it to Jessica and Harvey, he never even decided to look into Mike's past and realize he's not a lawyer.

It goes with his nature he is someone who overlooks those he sees as lesser, wich is why he tought he could buy Luis loyalty by naming him a senior partner and initialy Jessica by using his sick wife by pulling on her emotion, although Mike was at the center of all is atempts he never saw it as Mikes moves but Jessica or Harvey
@RealJDGaming15 күн бұрын
You don't look into someone's past unless that someone gives you reason for it. Daniel assumes that Mike is genuinely a Harvard-educated lawyer working under Harvey and has absolutely no reason to question it.

0:25 Surely there’s some law or clause that would allow Jessica and Harvey to break that NDA in order to prevent Hardman from committing another crime (perjury).

Sadly for Daniel’s case is the real world, NDAs don’t actually bar you from testifying in court.

I was hoping something like that would be the case, especially as Hardman is committing pejury with his lawsuit.

NDA's cannot protect criminal activity. Victims can break confidentiality to report a crime
@airsoul3662 ай бұрын
Hardmans only leverage is an NDA that specifies that Harvey cant use the fact he was embezzling company funds to pay for a mistress, but Im fairly certain that an NDA wouldnt stop Harvey from testifying to information that was in the publics best interest, and Im sure the public would love to know that someone of Daniel Hardmans reputation was stealing company funds to pay a mistress while he cheated on his dying wife.

Yeah this isn’t accurate. A party who’s not privy to a contract can’t be bound by its terms. Even if Jessica was acting as an agent for the partnership when signing the document, no authority was delegated to ratify Jessica signing that. Not to mention privileged information subject to the confidentiality agreement (such as documents evidencing Hardman’s embezzlement) can be disclosed in court via subpoena or some other discovery order. Either way a great show.

There’s no such thing as wrongful termination in most states lol they are at will states so you can be terminated without cause
@thedarknesst59954 күн бұрын
At will doesn't mean there's no such thing as wrongful termination, because while you can be terminated without cause, there are certain protected reasons you can't be terminated for (e.g. as retaliation). Now the ability to terminate someone without cause makes that harder to prove, but not impossible.
