When it came to removing, I tried using the longways cutter and I blew up the engine. I used the pinpoint cutter on the other 3 and had time to cut the fuel. The last time I cut the fuel, the pressure killed me. Two deaths and 90 min. Later, I got the achievement. Thanks for the video.

This was really helpful! Normally, i seperate the engine from the ship before i remove the thruster, but this process works way better since the risk of the two casings crushing you when you pull the emergency shut-off is lower because it is still attached to the ship.

You can also use the grapple to free one of the coolants. By gently banging it against the metal, you can cause it to start to spray. Holding the the grapple prevents it from escaping and you can use that to freeze the points. Now when you cut the frozen points, the leak will not catch fire, allowing you to have more time at the cost of a negligible canister.

I'm probably late to the party, but there's another way to do this safer, not every time though. Every now and then these Quasars come with small coolant units right under access panel. You can just take one such unit, break it so it starts leaking and then use it to freeze the pipes connected to engine. After that you can safely cut the pipes without fuel ignition.

I keep having this problem with the side panels, not sure if it’s a glitch. Every time I use a tether on the massive side panels, they keep getting wedged in the middle of the two disposals, this has happened 4 times in one game.
@DepressedHandsomeSpaceCop Жыл бұрын
Tether the sides to the man jack first to pull them forward, then tether one end of the panel to the processor. I think the furnace suction force keeps them locked in place

The full release will contain a proper end to the game's storyline. Details can be found here at steamcommunity.com/app/1161580/allnews/ . Thanks for watching!

I really don't like the part where you have to get the massive nacelle halves into the processor, they very often get stuck on the wall between the processor and the furnace for me regardless of how I try to tether them. I find that fiddlier than removing the thrusters themselves.

Pinpoint mode to cut out the thruster cap, splitsaw mode to cut the fuelpipes surrounding the engine WHAT MADNESS IS THIS 😂
@PolyhedralVideo Жыл бұрын
While riskier, splitsaw cuts on the fuel pipes are faster. Once you cut the first one, you're racing the clock to remove the engine, get to the front of the nacelle, and pull the release.
@davidschultz1987 Жыл бұрын
@@PolyhedralVideo that is entirely fair for a sufficiently skilled cutter. But even then, why not apply this same time saving method where there is no danger of breaking valuables, like when releasing the thruster Nozzles where all materials surrounding the cut point are impervious to misplaced cuts.
