My advice for sedona is to start small and work your way up. Don't go straight to the double black diamonds, they're seriously gnarly.

Awesome riding dude! My buddy did something similar, tumbling off the small cliff at the end of porcupine rim in moab over this weekend. He ended up spraining his ankle pretty good, and a few cuts and bruises.
@hardtailparty5 жыл бұрын
Yikes. That's always my biggest fear when I ride porcupine. It's so remote out there. I've seen a few broken arms 5+ miles away from any trailhead.

Intense video! So much great content in this one. I think you got better footage of that "slippery spot" on High on the Hog than any I have seen yet. (I remember that spot b/c I went down clipped in there!). Those trails are no joke! Glad you walked away from that crazy bail down the cliff! I love Jay's Nimble 9, always wanted to try one of those.
@hardtailparty5 жыл бұрын
ouch, t at's a brutal place to go down! One of the main reasons I don't clip in is so I can have more confidence tackling sections like that.

@@hardtailparty Yep, it was scary, I made the switch to Chesters after that trip! It is amazing how much the gopro effect flattens things out. But I liked the way you captured it from quite a few different angles, it gave a pretty good idea of the challenge!

Well I'll be in Sedona this fall and now I know those trails are beyond my abilities.
@hardtailparty5 жыл бұрын
Sedona has some tame trails too. If you want something technical with no exposure, check out slim shady. If you prefer traditional trails, check out mezcal and chuckwagon.
@squishlefunke5 жыл бұрын
@@hardtailparty thanks I will! I have something to aim for while I work on skills this summer (in addition to not getting injured). The thing that freaked me out in your video the most, other than the exposure, was the dusty layer on the slick rock. We don't have much of that in New England.
@hardtailparty5 жыл бұрын
@@squishlefunke they sand over rock was way worse than usual. It had rained a few days before, and people's tires tracked it onto the rocks. It's not usually like they here.
