On 5 June 1994, Howard W. Hunter became the fourteenth President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The decades preceding that day were filled with an unusual depth and diversity of experience - years of joy and sorrow, of adventure and devotion to duty, of uncommon patience in the face of adversity. This one-hour documentary tells the life story of Howard W. Hunter, from his boyhood in Boise, Idaho, through his years as a corporate attorney and stake president in Southern California, to his thirty-five years in the Council of the Twelve Apostles. There's a great book by an LDS author that shows that there's perfect harmony between the prophetic statements concerning the garden of Eden being in Missouri and the Old Testament account concerning the garden of Eden. It's called Canaan, Babylon, and Egypt A Comparative Theological Analysis on Creation sold by Eborn Books.

No he wasn't. After he became president he lived for 9 months and therefore presided for 9 months.

The President of the chruch in 1991 was Ezra Taft Benson. He served form November, 1985 to May, 1994 for 8 years and six months. Hunter was the senoir Apostle and he became the President of the Church, serving for 9 months.
