One of the things that’s a blessing with it being a 240Z based kit. Your not married into keeping that engine. A standard small block Chevy or Ford V8 fits SO well it’s rumored the car was originally made for a V8. I say this because you’d be SO far ahead of the game doing a modern engine swap on it. More power, reliability, & less expensive at the end of the day.

It's almost there, but not quite. The front and bonnet are both wrong, the back is wrong and the lights are wrong for that style of GTO (the '64 GTO had the split orange/red rear lights, but didn't have reversing lights or reflectors). Having said that, I would definitely restore it! 👍

I'd say go for it if you can swing it. And you can always find modern drivetrain to swap into it for reliability and fuel efficiency when you're broke down somewhere engine swap.

Id prefer a Replica at this point, After seeing how much it takes to maintain a Lamborghini Diablo even if I could afford it I'm not sure id enjoy it. Plus they're now becoming investments which means less time on the road and more time sitting in a collection. A Guy like myself could have a ton of fun driving a kit car because you can do things you otherwise could not do with the real thing. I hope to do a Diablo Replica in the near future.

I had a green 240Z. It was probably the best car I ever had. Some stupid underage drunk girl in a stolen car wiped me out, and that was the end of my car.😢

Where these 240z rust is above the rails where the front fenders attach…. Make sure those rails are strong. Also lower frame rails near the transmission tunnel. Both are not fun to repair

Looks more like a 275GTB longnose than the 250GTO. The vents are all wrong, and it should have single tail lights though. Normies wouldn't have a clue, and you can drive it to the shops without worry of a priceless car getting bumped. Not my cup of tea though.

Just needs an old Jaguar V12 or even if you can find a used newer Ferrari motor which I have seen for around 15k then some brakes and shocks then new tires and you've basically got a poor man's 250 gto

What this "Ferrari" looks like is that someone was making a 250 GTO body kit and got a cease and desist from Ferrari, and in response they modified the details enough that the kit no longer looks like a GTO.
