i was a big collector of all characters who wore armor back in the 90s. I loved Iron Man, Prototype, Hardware, and then Stormwatch, which had a guy who wore an armored flight-capable exeskeleton, with a heavy-duty forcefield, and used the code name Sentinel.

Wow I had no idea milestone was soo cool. If I remember correctly milestone merged with dc (static shock, etc) but I don’t have any recollection of seeing hardware in any dc comics.

Punisher and Ironman mix from a civilian oppressed class, never feeling any kind of privilege like a former cop nor ultrarich guy. So, Hardware is worthy of far more respect than those two combined in that way.

No issue with the character himself, but the whole comparison of his abilities to Steel and James Rhodes is the thing that turns me off. I'm not a fan of blatantly recycled characters, there are a bunch of Hulks, Wolverines, a combination of the two, etc. It's not what you do, it's how it's done. Anime and Manga characters may have the same issues but it doesn't seem as bad for the most part.

DC has ALWAYS handled black and brown characters VERY Poorly They where better off putting them into image comics Or 2000AD or marvel Dc will give 1 million stories about the flash and Batman and Superman and wonder women above all else Let’s be honest DC has no “iconic” characters on the same level as black panther, Luke cage, storm, spawn, Chappell, blue marvel, miles morales etc.

- The iconic level black characters are definitely Blade, Luke cage, black panther, storm, spawn, falcon, Jon Stewart, cyborg. (Miles is super iconic now but he’s new). - you are correct. DC is definitely lacking in the iconic black superhero department with cyborg and green lantern being the only two iconic level ones they got. - apart from that… I wouldn’t put blue marvel as iconic. Blue marvel is pretty much the same level as mr terrific, icon and the other heroes who aren’t “legendary/iconic” level. But yeah if we compare the non-iconic ones it’s actually decently balanced. Marvel def has the more popular/iconic and better written, unique black characters, but they are still both relatively equal in terms of amount. DC - black manta, bronze tiger, Amanda waller, aqua lad, static shock, mr terrific, icon, steel, black lightning, Wally west,firestorm and kinda vixen (but if we start including brown that could include hawkman, black Adam, Simon baz etc) Marvel - blue marvel, miles, bishop, brother voodoo, war machine, Monica rambeau, new nick fury, night trasher, cloak, deathlok, Goliath, shuri/other named wakandans
