I really hope you can enjoy your rides soon and so nice to protect your darling for her races :-)) See you soon mate and thx for sharing 😇

Thx for sharing. I'm also super confused by dual recording. Having tried assioma duo and Garmin vector with both justo and V5. Nothing was consistent so I don't know.

I'm confused atm.. My Justo read perfect to my pedals when I checked (but I don't like the Justo feel for standing + need more gears) and now the V6 is back to about 2% off, instead of 6 haha

Hey mate, I see all your running stuff in there as well, you ever dabble in triathlon? Seems like with your engine and background you’d be a beast

@@TheRuneguides cheers mate. Firstly swimming is probably the thing I'm worst at in the world. Like scared of water, drown risk type operator! Was never in what I consider elite enough running form when I have been cycling well. Finally, aerodynamics is not something in my playbook. Obviously important for triathlon but not esports!

Have not googled it yet - how can I find the power curve comparison using the pedals and neo2T?
@_joshharris
@_joshharris 17 күн бұрын
@@Stephanie_Briggs I usually upload my two for files on zwiftpower. It can also be compared on the power curve on strava, or an app like TrainingPeaks Virtual compares both at the same time by putting the fitfile into dualrecording.com

I use Kickr core and Favero Duals, both match within two watts. I find I need to zero my Faveros before every ride otherwise there are discrepancies. I’m currently racing / surviving A cat. Wish Zwift would more to enforce fairer racing. I think to race in A cat you should have to do weigh in, and height videos, and dual recording. Amazing how many riders are exactly 50kg 😅

@@chrismadge7292 yeah I think it's pushed alot of riders away, the lack of rules in A cat mate! I understand it to a degree, but I recall the community racing scene when I first got hooked and the fields were amazing. In a primarily good way!

@ I got beaten by a 14 year old 50Kg rider the other week in an A cat race. It’s just a game to some, rather than a serious racing platform. I might try MyWhoosh SRC, hopefully that’s a bit more honest.

Interesting stuff, and great to see that you are transparent and do everything you can to validate data. I'm a low cat A on Zwift and so only doing non important racing, but I still want my data to be accurate. To that end I find it all very frustrating, I have assiomas and last winter got a Juusto as it said +/-1% and the comfort with the squishy feet was phenomenal. Data was terrible tho -- I was dropping a mate who in real life would ride me off his wheel -- and if you're a non elite rider the companies don't give same support so Elite just denied anything could be wrong, and Favero said the same. At 300w the juusto was 20w over the pedals. Switched to a kickr bike shift after 1 winter at great expense but that also reads around 2-3% higher than pedals, at least now the races with friends play out more like in real life tho. There should be some sort of industry wide validation test on trainers and they must be within X% of that test rig.

@@mark11602 always good to do all you can to ensure things are correct if you're into it and take it fairly seriously! Actual accuracy and trust with this expensive equipment would be brilliant hey! I'm sure they do plenty of testing, but so many different factors can influence how they read. Until thats a reality, I'd take a slight positive difference mate 👌

@_joshharris yes would be lovely. I don't think it'd be too hard to for them to standardise the power measurement but it takes a desire to do it, someone to admin it and, as always, money -- so not sure we'll see it What did you mean re: kickr bike and seat post? Me and wife share ours and both just have our position numbers written down so it goes back to exact same each time - the benefit of the smart bike is multi user not having to have fixed size 🤔😁

@@mark11602 Kate's slips down every time I use it. She has an additional clamp due to the seatpost, but my extra weight causes it to drop while riding. Wahoo are actually sending her a new one I believe!

@@_joshharris ah yes I see, ours does slip if only use the quick release, as it has the weird D shaped post in a round hole design -- but tighten it extra (probably way over torque spec) with Allen key to stop it. Hope they sort -- good chat and cheers for the content, enjoy your videos!

@@_joshharris I don't think I've ever seen you sit down in any of your race videos 🙂 Something wrong with that clamp or post, my Kickr Bike has 54,000 miles on it and the post has not moved.

interesting about the kickr power difference. I’ve never tried my FaveroAssiomas on Zwift, but might dual this next race to see the difference. Heat can definitely change the power meters accuracy as the components expand. Have you ever noticed any difference between summer and winter accuracies? 6% is huge though… Do you think having an elite class where a particular standard power meter is required across the board would help alleviate this? Ps. Dominated us on Stage 3 FRR, came 3rd in that one. first time I’ve been in A races and always humbling to see the difference with a real elite rider in the pack zone 2ing off for a an easy solo win 😂

@@mitchthomasfarquhar always good to compare the equipment. Over time all my expensive trainers have been really reliable, apart from multiple models of the V6. If my V5 has ever gone out of sync (has happened in both summer and winter before) a factory reset has got it back purring! I'll do another spindown on this V6 and see if I can at least get it back to like 3% 😂 yeah there are talks of power meters being used at elite level, but this needs regulations in itself as they are easy to manipulate and the assiomas give sticky watts for a sec or two when I stop pedalling into a descent for example. Yeah goodluck on the horseman mate, tough way to finish it. That was a really hard ride for me. If we go by my dual it was really impressive numbers that I am happy with 😂👌

Sure, a man with two watches never knows the time . . . but a man two power meters and three smart trainers. . . has gone clinically insane 🤪 I agree in your case that, outside of Elite racing, I'd be using the Faveros as the power source instead of the trainer. And no question I'd be using the Faveros as the trusted source for tracking fitness progress reliably and consistently so you're not guessing there either. Lastly, you casually doing over unders in a breakaway did make laugh. I can imagine the field madly chasing and trying to close down the time while you're up there just fitting in some interval training 😅

@@E.M.B.R I think I averaged more power than I would've steady tbh, and the NP was definitely higher so I'm assuming it helped my speed too! Yep. I think I will for the moment. It's nice that Kate has all the equipment herself, makes it easier to test some of these issues. I'm not sure why I didn't think to test her pedals sooner than today.

It sounds like the pedals are accurate so I would just use them as primary source and not worry about it. I use my pedals as primary and Kickr Bike as secondary simply because the bike has occasional drop-outs that I can't afford to have. The duals are very close. I'm not elite racing though, just middle A cat.
