Good concept of a video man!!! For me, there’s a depth difference between the hardware chain and stock pre. I wouldn’t classify the difference as bad but I think situationally, each offering would support a source and sonic intention nicely! I had an Apollo mk1 for a few years (2014-2016 I believe) and they were in my opinion some of the best transparent pres on the market. I think that approach offers an element of post production creativity. Don’t get me wrong, a good captured source is a good captured source and that’s always the intent. But clean sometimes JUST WORKS, just like it’s nice to have excitable fat tones achieved with front end processing. Good job man!!! Keep posting!

Thank you very much for your comment and support man, I greatly appreciate you! There is definitely a depth difference and that neither sound bad at all. I think they both sound great in their own way! It was very interesting to hear the sound that hardware added to the recording, just the electronics alone without EQ or compression applied. And I agree, sometimes clean just works and that is exactly what a source needs. You can't beat that! Thank you again for your support!!!
