This is a riff medley from the new album "Hardwired... to Self-Destruct" from Metallica. It includes all the new songs from the two discs, in order. As a bonus, I added "Ronnie Rising Medley" and "Lords of Summer" from CD 3.
I took my favorite riff(s) from each song on the album, after listening to it multiple times. For some riffs, I felt it was necessary to add the vocals using another lead guitar.
Here's a list containing all the songs I used in this video:
1. Ronnie Rising Medley
2. Hardwired
3. Atlas, Rise!
4. Now That We're Dead
5. Moth Into Flame
6. Dream No More
7. Halo on Fire
8. Confusion
9. ManUNkind
10. Here Comes Revenge
11. Am I Savage?
12. Murder One
13. Spit Out the Bone
14. Lords of Summer
Gear used:
Gibson Les Paul Standard
Schecter Synyster Custom-S
ESP LTD Snakebyte
Epiphone Les Paul Standard
Vantage Bass
Lexicon Alpha Audio Interface
VST's (including BIAS, Superior Drummer 2 and more)

@@Mrrandom494 It's my opinion. I'm not being elitist. Load and ReLoad weren't good Metallica albums. They tried to be something they weren't. Hetfield even admitted recently that he was never fully on board with Load and ReLoad and they didn't turn out the way he wanted. You can like whatever you like, but those albums are a sloppy mess. EDIT: Also, Randy said in 15 years. That's St Anger. If you actually think St Anger is good, then this conversation is gonna go nowhere.

Are there any specific tones you used on Bias? Would I be able to find them on the Tone cloud?
@petar298
@petar298 7 жыл бұрын
Yes, for the rhythm guitars I use the Metal VH4 tone found on Tone Cloud. Keep in mind that I layered more tracks, specificly one panned to the left and one to the right. So I cannot get the same exact tone by playing it with only one guitar, but it is close to it. I also used a TS808 tubescreamer VST to add more power to the sound.

@petar298
@petar298 6 жыл бұрын
I plug my guitar directly into a audio interface, Lexicon Alpha in particular. Then in Cubase, I use EZMIX2 to turn the guitar signal into the sound you hear here. I record 4 seperate guitar tracks in which I play the same thing. I pan 2 left 2 right using two different EZMIX 2 profiles. By no means is this "studio quality" but that is what I used to record this video :)

@petar298
@petar298 7 жыл бұрын
For 2016+, every model in the LP range (Studio, Traditional, Standard) has a Traditional spec and a High-Performance spec. If your question was if I had a LP Traditional or a LP Standard, it's a Standard. But since it is a 2015 model, there was no choice between LP Standard Traditional and LP Standard High-Performance. The features on the 2016+ High Performace spec ones, are mostly also found on the 2015 LP Standard, so you can iin a way call it a High Performance spec.

I care more about it being comfortable than how it looks, that's why. Plus that is how far that particular guitar strap will go, so I couldn't have had it lower. Also due to the fact that the snakebyte uses more of the strap so it will be higher than other guitars.
