Wouldn’t it be easier to just keep the round the way it comes off the splitter, instead of spinning it every time?? either way you’ll get the “punky” wood seperate 🤔 either way splitters sure are nice to have 👌🤘🤘

With these huge rounds of you don’t rotate the rounds they get wider than the box wedge as they get closer to the center of the round.

While it is satisfying to see a huge round go through a box wedge, it is certainly way more work that you had to do. Any reason you didn't split that round down into more manageable pieces using a splitting axe and a dead blow mallet (used like a wedge)? The punky edge could have been easily split off and the remaining round could have been quartered then run through the box wedge.
@hardworkingmanoutdoors
@hardworkingmanoutdoors Жыл бұрын
I tried to split one up with a splitting axe when I got them a while ago and it was a lot of work. Didn’t try adding a dead blow sledge to it though.
