Not to mention how diligently and admirably they toil away to ensure people have wonderful cookware, filled with lead and other contaminants to help flavor all the lovely foods cooked in these fine vessels, using alloys which were never meant for cooking tools. Nice!

The pots are literally toxic and are giving people lead poisoning. Metals used in engines and such are not food grade and require significant chemical refining that is not done here to remove lead from them. This is literally why we have codes and standards.

A large number of these are destined for sale on Amazon. On the US import they are marked as "mostly aluminum"...Mostly. Of course the high amount of lead in there gives the food that little extra sweetness. The embargo has nothing to do with it. India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, and many other places do the same things. They don't have the infrastructure, and many places are like 100 years behind the first world when it comes to conveniences and safety. People make a hundred or a couple hundred dollars a year, labor is cheaper than the equipment. The fuel is wood, or probably waste oil, whatevers around. How things are done there is how things were done a long time ago in places like the US, England, and Europe. For local consumption.

When faith > science this is precisely the result you can expect as a consumer and precisely why the oligarchs embrace the ideology. To them, this is a dream operation. No inspections, no oversight, no safety, no rules. Further, if you are a libertarian, you have just agreed with everything I just wrote as if it were all desirable. Correct, these cookers should be made of stainless steel (not recycled aluminum) or there is risk of lead poisoning. This is why lead was removed from petrol fuel in the west.
