I love that he's embraced his metal side on this album. I just heard him on a local rock station the other day, and I couldn't be happier. He's a talented singer and songwriter and I don't think there's anything harder or more talented than blending 2 genres of music into 1 and having it be very good. Especially in more than 1 song.
@jaredcullop702 жыл бұрын
This is exactly who you are. You're the guy who writes pop country songs, but makes sure others sing them. And you're also the guy who, as soon as your ability to withstand and sustain singing "a new song" began to do so. From Boots to a cover from Puddle of Mudd, you showed us a non-Nashville side of yourself. From there, numerous bangers on the Hixtapes kept us on the edge, until you brought "Sold Out". That was awesome sounding, but you strategically left some songwriter on the table. Needed to keep that for "Jack". That song might go down in history to the point where my grandkids know the words and stay safe from the demons of booze. But this one, you just showed us now it's all been intentional. Props to you, brother. By the way, by chance, I heard this while wearing a shirt with your dumb face on it.

The symbolism behind this song is genius, and is so very well written. I've never really listened to Hardy, and this song has become one of my favorites overnight. I've always been a rocker, from classic to metal, but some country is kind of growing on me. I can get behind this, it's almost like a whole new genre. And he does it so seamlessly and effortlessly. Starting with how he grew up and got into the music industry, writing hit songs for other popular artists, but never has been able to have his own voice or style. He was a mockingbird, writing others songs. But he finally got a microphone, and he will not conform, even if that makes him unpopular. I have a newfound respect for this man as a musician and an artist. Not to mention, that claymation in the music video is badass. I look forward to discovering more of his music. Rock on!

I'm 48 and ain't getting any younger. I have won many singing competitions, traveled with bands for 20 years. Praised by people all over, told constantly and still to this day I have a great voice. Well, guess it ain't that great. So I decided to start playing and recording my own music. So in a few months I will put somethings here on the KZbin.

Yes sir.. We need this. Growing up in the 90s and not hearing much of this style anymore definitely makes me happier that you can make it come back. Keep it up.

The fact that a country singer produces more rock sounding songs than actual rock music on the radio nowadays is both admiral for Hardy and sad for modern rock artists/bands
