Idk why but when I heard this song for the very 1st time. I literally lost it. I cried 😢 so much. I was in my truck headed down the mountain here in the Smoky Mountains in Pigeon Forge Tennessee. Where i live & I turned the radio up really loud & I hit replay & I rolled the windows down so I could feel the wind in my hair blowing & the wind on my face and I sang along with the chorus and I'm not sure what was happening with my emotions but it was like a release of some sort. I didn't know the words but after only hearing this song once I had caught onto all the words in the chorus. I sang and probably had my trucks gas pedal pressed to the floor. Idk what or why but this song it just does something to me I just can't explain it. I am a DV survivor. My ex husband he was a hitter that would hit me so hard for absolutely no reason at all. He broke my arm once and wouldn't take me to the ER becuz he knew the ER would report him to the police because how would I explain the black eyes and the finger print bruises on my broke arm where he had dragged me from the kitchen to our bedroom with our Lil girls watching. It took me 8 days to talk him into letting me go to the ER. Only way I could go was if I let him throw a baseball at my arm so I could say I was accidentally hit by a baseball when my kids were playing outside. That's a memory I will never forget. I finally got out and took the girls with me. I've been free from him and his violent tendencies for 16 years now. Thank God 😊 #LordGiveMeStrength

I would guess that Lainey is a bit of a song writing machine herself. During the first three years she was in Nashville, she is supposed to have written some 4000 songs not including the ones she brought with her. Then during the pandemic, she wrote another 300 - 400, many of which she says will never see the light of day. Still I am under the understanding that she has either written or co-written everything she currently has out. Also, she was in Nashville for more than 10 years before she had her first number 1 single so how many more does she have in her catalog?

@livefree3162 жыл бұрын
It's scary if you're doing what you should do. The Lord knows there's many females that are out there cheating the Lord knows as many out there drinking and brutalizing women. Point is God knows about every evil dirty deed and each and every sinner that does not repent is going to have to make amends on judgment Day meaning they're going to find the wrath of God is real they're going to find themselves in a place where they can't ever escape. A place of outer darkness and flames there's no time for wicked games call out to Jesus Christ name to be saved and live a righteous life before you find yourself not being in the Kingdom of light. Jesus Christ is returning soon many have heard that but yes he's coming soon. Lights out for The wicked forever. It's a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a living God. Sure this man went after inventions who hurt the girl in the song. Jesus Christ said do not fear them who can only kill your body fear Him who can destroy both body and soul and hell. Jesus Christ help you by the Holy Ghost to repent and to Bear fruits worthy of repentance..

I love watching you come alive and show the world a side none of us knew you had i.e. Sold Out and Truck Bed. Your ACM performance had me jumping and screaming lol. You blended the 2 genre's perfectly. I hope to see you live one day. Finances and time need to get in sync lol. @ Lainey, I am a tough cookie to crack when it comes to female country artists. I just don't care much for most of them. Most sound nasely and whiney, or singing about frivolous things and I'm not trying to be mean in saying that. It's just that I'm classically trained and my ears, head, and body pick every song I hear apart i.e. key/time signatures, major/minor, diminished/augmented chords, syncopation/hemiola, etc...but you young lady, you're a powerhouse and you have such a beautiful heart and personality to go along with it. You two nailed it with this song. Much respect and love from Missouri to the both of you. God Bless ❤

@HARDY To be honest, I just discovered your music a few weeks ago. I heard Unapologetically Country being used on a TikTok and then started listening immediately! One of my favorites is The Mockingbird and The Crow! You’re definitely a talented young man and I’m excited to keep exploring your music! Keep em’ coming my friend!!

Born and raised in the South. Stopped listening to country music about ‘05 because it sucked. This is so refreshing. A song, a story, a message…awesome. This guy kicks ass. And Lainey Wilson. Wow. Gotta admit that I figured her for another pretty face. But I believe her. If that makes sense. She’s got a genuine quality about her and it comes through in her voice. I figure 20 years from now we’ll be talkin bout how she’s still at it.

Wow...stellar performance of a genuine country song. This storytelling that's going on in this country song, for real, grabbed me and commanded my attention. It was true perfection, and I was wrapped up tight in the drama. Honestly, I didn't want it to end. I hope to see a lot more modern yet traditional masterpieces by these 2 might fine performers.

I can't tell you how real this song is. First time hearing it, but even at my advanced age it brought tears to my eyes. This takes me back to what I call the good days. Songs that come from everyday life and people. Haggard or Jones or Tweety would be proud of this one for sure!!❤
