I'm making a harengon genie warlock. She's a failed stage magician. Guess what her genie vessel is. 🎩🃏

Genius!

That is absolutely amazing, and I love the idea! On the genie warlock idea itself, I had my own theme idea og an air genasi genie warlock; rather than being born of two air genasi, he's the actual sone of a humanoid father and a djinn mother; his patron is his own mother. So, when calling on his patron to aid him and his allies, he's literally calling his mom for help. XD

Ha! Guess I wasn’t the only one to think of this. I also am part of the chain and my sprite familiar is my “Lovely Assistant” she also works great for card magic, since she can look over their shoulder while invisible.

Before I started playing my Harengon Monk, my DM suggested I read that series. It's a good read and helped me add a little more substance to my Asian inspired Harengon.

How is that working for you I have a Harengon fighter I wanted to make into a duelist with the samurai subclass but I’m liking battle master a bit more for the tactical advantages

Am playing a Harengon Monk that practices the Savate martial art. Took the Dash feat at first level and at third level, he's already one of the faster and more maneuverable characters I've played in a lower-level D&D campaign. He was cursed to never smile or laugh and has been named 'Grumpy Bunny' by the rest of the group.

I recently played a Harengon Lore Bard/GOOLock, Pact of the Tome. Hare-Trigger and Rabbit Hop were incredibly useful. Especially Rabbit Hop. I hit more than one enemy with a Booming Blade into Rabbit Hop combo in that campaign. The most important part of Rabbit Hop, however, is that it only has one restriction: Your speed can't be 0. Rules as Written, it's not tied to your speed other than that. You can walk 25 feet and then Rabbit Hop its full distance. It doesn't even say "you can jump up to" it's just "a number of feet equal to." It's bonkers.

Just putting the finishing touches on Harry the fighter, decided to use small size, then go for the Rune Knight subclass. This will allow him to instantly transform from small to Large. One pill makes you smaller and one pill makes you large ...

As of writing this, I am playing a Harengon named Mochi Suki (it’s a pun on a Japanese word, used to describe the process of making Mochi (or rice cakes), she’s a cleric of the twighlight domain, and her goddess is Selune. She’s essentially, my take on the moon rabbit from various eastern mythology.

I was going to make a Bard who doesn’t specialize in music but does bad puns and bad jokes. Was going to do a half elf, but a harengon is a perfect Bugs Bunny tie in for role playing.

I'm building a Wild Magic Harangon Socerer. I'm loving my options and with the choices I've made I've brought him from a 15 to an 18 charisma. He's got a great backstop of being brought up in a traveling circus as a sorcerer's Apprentice. He's therefore a performer, which works great with his charisma. He was found under a bed as a baby in a burning home so he knows nothing about his family or culture as a hatangon and ultimately left the circus to discover that. The DM is starting us at level 3. I'm excited to see the craziness that will come from my inherit wild magic.

Definitely getting that Thumper vibe from Bambi. Class wise- I’d probably do a fighter samurai type like the thumbnail pic. Ranger also comes to mind, mainly for the wilderness aspect which I got from the old Robin Hood cartoon movie. Could also see a wizard or sorcerer and rp like frail body, strong mind type character.

My DM is planning a one-shot set in the Feywilds, I'm contemplating which Harengon Fighter build to go with (either go Samurai and go full Usagi Yojimbo with it, or Battle Master and go for an Easter Bunny via Rise of the Guardians-inspired Fighter with returning handaxes instead of boomerangs).
@kaiyamazaki16842 жыл бұрын
I've played one of these recently. It was an Arcane Trickster Rogue with the Fey Touched Feat and honestly, that class fit together soooo well with a fey descended character. A sneaky trickster character that had some minor magic flavored for the Fey Wild that had a good natured and playful personality, he was a great Chaotic/Good boy lol

Fey touch gives misty step, wich IS also a bonus action that does not goes too well with rabbit hop. If you use jump you could have almost infinite misty steps with only 1 spell slots

Playing a Haregon Ranger with cunny on perception on from Tasha's my bunny perception and passive perception is crazy. also I basically attacked first all night. The rabbit hop got me out of a few rough situations. DM was just shaking his head it is a really cool race to play.

Playing a Bloodhunter Harengon for a homebrew campaign... Dex-y as hell but due to the party comp I'm the semi-functional front-liner.... We have a "rabbit down" counter. It's such good fun however, cocky old man with a penchant for flirting- the party jokes I replaced the bard who didn't join us.

I'm currently playing a Harengon Horizon Walker level 5. While out hunting he crossed over to the prime material through a Fey crossing. He carries a residual effect which gives him his powers. I've taken mobility to move in and out of melee.
@asteiner274 Жыл бұрын
Melee builds work well, but I'm also thinking you can use touch and short range spells much more safely in conjunction with rabbit hop

@binolombardi3 жыл бұрын
I love this new lineage option. The initiative bonus is great since it’s effective immediately but also scales well. The rabbit hop is amazing for a caster because it emulates misty step to a certain extent. It doesn’t let you escape from grappled or restrained conditions, but it’s also not a spell. This means a caster can use the bonus action feature to put place themselves precisely and still have their action to cast a leveled spell.
@SkullSplitter3 жыл бұрын
Agree on a lot of this. There are going to be some interesting builds created once people's imaginations run wild here!
@shrunkenone2 жыл бұрын
I've been wanting to make one, but sadly, two of my Dms don't want fey creatures in their games (despite the Harengon being classified as humanoid). A third DM that has yet to actually start his game, MAY allow it. He likes the idea of exotic races, and would love to see one of his players try a loxodon, as an example. If he allows it, I plan on my harengon to be a ranger of the Hunter Conclave archetype. Focusing on doing damage with a long bow and using his mobility options to keep out of melee range. The personality of this character is friendly, and a little cocky. I'm kind of imagining Disney's Robin Hood if he had been a rabbit instead of a fox. At higher levels when he can jump further, and higher, helping allies scale buildings by jumping and climbing first, then lowering rope, and similar ideas. His name would be Usamori; a play on Usagi (rabbit) and Mori (forest) Forest Rabbit.

I wanna be an all around support character for the other players not really the big hitters but helping the others from the back and figure out all tricky situations… I was thinking maybe being an wizard or artificer with 2 levels of cleric maybe…. Do you have any suggestions?
@bluebird32812 жыл бұрын
I would suggest Straight twilight cleric. I was playing a grave cleric andgot into a second game and tried twilight cleric. It is so much better of a support guy that I am disappointed when I play my grave cleric. Twilight sanctuary gives out so many temp HP I barely have to heal them.
