We've waited for this for a long time: at the start of 2019, the Haringvliet sluice gates were opened a little. This means after nearly 50 years, water from the sea can flow into the Haringvliet inlet again. The decision to open the gates a little was the signal for six nature organisations to join forces to launch an ambitious nature restoration plan in and around the Haringvliet inlet. With the Dream-Fund project Haringvliet now at an end, the question is: What have we achieved in the past 4 years? Have we made our dream a reality?
