Ep 10 BTS Hanle to Tso Moriri to Tso Kar | Offbeat Ladakh

Hanle is a small village situated at an altitude of around 14,800 feets above sea level. Hanle is about 255 km away from Leh and 460 km away from Manali, Himachal Pradesh.
Tourists visit Hanle to see the night sky and this is a night stay place if you want to travel to Umling la.
In this video you see our road journey from Hanle to Tso Moriri to Tso Kar.

Below are the activities / key destinations we visited during the journey.
Hanle Observatory, also known as the Indian Astronomical Observatory (IAO), is one of the major attractions in the area. It is operated by the Indian Institute of Astrophysics and houses some of the world's highest-altitude telescopes.
Hanle is about 150 km away from Tso Morriri and 145 km away from Tso Kar.
In Hanle we met a person who calls himself a Solo Travel Tracker. In the past 2 years he traveled 19 states of India and 3 different countries on his Bicycle. We had tea together and shared his experiences of his past 2 years journey.

Tso Moriri is one of the most beautiful attractions that is located at an altitude of 14830 ft. above sea level. Tso Moriri is about 2 km away from Tso Moriri Village. Tso Moriri is an offbeat destination of Ladakh.

Tso Kar is located close to the Manali Leh highway. Tso Kar is also a perfect place for camping away from the crowd. Tso Kar is about 30 km away from Debring and Manali, Himachal Pradesh is also about 285 km away. Tso Kar is counted in offbeat destinations of Ladakh.
