Harkirat, Server-Sent Events (SSE) is not an inferior or obsolete technology; in fact, we actively utilize it in our project. The key distinction between SSE and WebSockets lies in their communication nature. While WebSockets enable bidirectional communication, allowing data to flow both ways between the client and server, SSE operates unidirectionally. In SSE, only the server can push data to the client. Additionally, there's an important aspect of WebRTC that you didn't cover. In WebRTC, we can establish a server just to facilitate connections among clients. Once this initial setup is complete, the server's role can be diminished, and clients can continue communicating directly. This means that after the WebRTC server has fulfilled its purpose, it can be removed from the communication path while clients maintain seamless interaction. This highlights the flexibility and efficiency of WebRTC, allowing for direct Peer-2-Peer communication without the need for intermediation. We use it extensively in our IOT projects.

What a dumb question, first of all websocket uses tcp connection so no packets will be dropped and second thing every websocket connection is independent of each other so you can check if any connection is sending too many packets
