you want me to pay 50k just for the entrance exam ? and if I get passed then I have to extra 1.5 lakhs to get fully admission into your alt college ? crazyyy tbh, I am dumb right now, when it comes to logically thinking, problem solving ability and, I don't even have an interest in solving a problem, really ! and I'm trying to find a course or free resource, which can help me to fix these parts of my career journey so, that I can get interested in Coding and problem solving stuff. I don't know what should I do now? just continue with my current college, where I think that there's no hope because all they're teaching is old syllabus and shit in my 3rd Semester. and I am a CSE( AI ML) student so, probably I think, they will teach me some contemporary industry level skills starting from the 4th Semester, because I have opted for AIML in CSE ? maybe yes, maybe no.

Using too much AI in your day to day job to me has resulted in rusting my ability to write code, to an extent. The other day I want to update an object in an array and it took me a while to even identify what I need to do, as I was relying on AI too much for these things... Or perhaps in another instance I totally forgot the syntax to apply spread operator and update few properties only. Had to rely on AI to dig me out, which previously wasn't the case...

Summarizing 5 key takeaways from video, 1. Three Job Layers: High-agency individuals (adaptable, impact-driven), traditional developers (stable roles), and foundational "below the API" roles. 2. High-Agency Traits: Quick learners, deliver results across stacks, thrive in startups, and gain rapid experience under pressure. 3. Emerging Markets: AI, Web3, Solana, and niche AI solutions (e.g., for lawyers, hospitals) are lucrative. 4. Tech Challenges: Competitive, skill-based, and requires continuous upskilling; younger developers can compete with experienced ones. 5. Advice: Focus on learning and creating value, not just securing jobs. Explore non-coding roles like sales or customer success in tech companies.

Actually I disagree with point 4, young developers prompt AI to make a page for instance, they get it and stamp in their code base and move along. They have no clue what design and architecture patterns were used, what best practices were adopted, where to use a grid vs flex etc, same for backend. Where to use async, what LINQ operator has what performance benefits vs drawbacks and so on. Whereas an experienced developer is mostly aware of these and thus his experience is still the one factor that makes this anything but a level playing field or close to one

I would like to believe I am a high agency person, I am in golden handcuffs, and I feel trapped, I mean money is fine, but I would love more meaningful work, work where I can create impact, I would love to get out of this rut. I want to work and build at a good startup, remote or not, where I am pushed, I dont mind more work and no work life balance, but I would prefer someplace, where I also get a good network of like minded people and not people who are too in their comfortzone. Help?

Here are 10 key points from the video "I Researched the Job Market after AI" by Harkirat Singh: 1.Coding is evolving: New tools are changing how developers work, increasing productivity. 2.Embrace change: Just as shovels were replaced by machinery, developers should adapt to new tools rather than resist them. 3.Focus on impact: The goal is to get things done, not just write code. 4.High-agency individuals are in demand: These are people who can solve problems independently, regardless of the specific technology. 5.The API layer is crucial: Operating above the API layer (building applications) offers more growth potential than operating below it (providing services). 6.The future of work may have three layers: High-agency individuals, traditional software developers, and those operating below the API layer. 7.High-growth markets are key: Focus on areas like AI, web3, and developer tools, where opportunities are abundant. 8.Prioritize learning over job seeking: Develop skills for their own sake, and the job opportunities will follow. 9.Tech is a competitive field: Be prepared for constant learning and upskilling to stay relevant. 10.Embrace the challenges: While tech can be demanding, it offers significant rewards and opportunities for growth.
