Earlier acts of Homestuck had a kind of charm completely different from any later parts. They were extremely conscious of their video game parodies and nods, and worked a unique story through that. I guess it makes sense that current Homestuck plot is different in vibe from that one, though, because by and large the structure of Sburb has been outgrown by Lord English fucking everything up. So I'll be nostalgic and that'll be just fine. Because it's all neat in different ways.

Trolls session may have seemed normal but thats cus all the weird shit was meticulous and behind the scenes (until bec arrives). Since the frog is a living organism and this session is its reproduction system, it would make sense that the new session would replicate the thing they had with Lord English where he guaranteed them winning by existing.
