I’m so glad to hear your thoughts on Josephine. After having watched a couple of other YT candle reviewers I was dying to get this one…but unfortunately was extremely disappointed. I was expecting a stronger rose accord and most definitely some amber! But - the cold throw was nonexistent. Period. Nothing there, period. Not even any powder, which you detected. Anyway! I did like Speakeasy and Lady Day, but at this price point I shouldn’t need to close doors or place it in a bathroom, etc. For now I’ll stick to Trudon and Byredo (and yes, Next) when I want a scent that I can actually smell without working for it. Great video!

You’re welcome. I will say I’ve been trying to use Josephine more and more because I already paid for it and once I burned it down a couple inches the hot throw becomes strong. Like almost too strong too quickly with two wicks. The powdery smell gives me a headache every time an burn now. I think the glass being pretty thin doesn’t help either. I’ve been liking the speakeasy diffuser - smells great in the bathroom

Do you have Feu de Bois? How does it compare?

Yes I do and these candles are very different. Not as smokey fireplace scent as the Feu de Bois.

And speaking of Fir, have you sniffed Trudon Fir? And I’ll bet you’ve tried Thymes Frasier Fir…

I haven’t tried either of these! I usually like the holiday fir candles from Diptyque. My favorite from Trudon is el abd kader!
