It was a fantastic game at Twickenham as it should be. I hope we get the Saracens and Harlequins derby at Wembley or at the Tottenham Stadium this year for the women. What I found disappointing was that it was an afterthought instead of being billed as a main event. Zero promotion in the major media outlets or by either club, no carnival atmosphere, no fireworks or live music and only a handful of fans showed up to support their team, while the rest were shamefully loitering outside the stadium instead of watching the game. TNT Sports should have done better with the TV coverage too. It should be equal for both men and women. We want to see “Big Game” days at Wembley, Twickenham etc… for the women but also the same for Wheelchair Rugby at the big indoor arenas at the O2.
