An Ibanez SRC6 setup as a Baritone and a Danelectro 56. Both are 30" but very different in sound and feel. The HB Amarok BT made it on my list and I'm looking forward to try one. Thanks for the review!

Great video dude! I've been eyeing up one of those for a couple of years now. I'd much rather move to a baritone than play this damn 7 string that makes my arm injury worse haha. Harley Benton are doing some amazingly affordable guitars nowadays with awesome specs, so fair play to them. You've definitely sold this one to me! Cheers 👍

Here we go, this is what I'm curious about. These are hard to find in the states unless you want to take a chance on lengthy shipping and customs fees. Can't find a used Amarok to save your life here, let alone a BT model. These beat the pants off the Chinese Jacksons like the JS22 seven string, which I bought and returned a week later. I[m still recovering from that ordeal. There's an old Yamaha BT (RGX-420S D6 "Drop 6") that is difficult to find and is similar in cost that has a great rep for quality, if you can find one. Man, I've been waiting for a rundown on this guitar for quite a while now, I'm glad you covered it with a healthy trial run to report on. What a beauty that is, and it certainly paid off for the price! 👑🎸🔥

I ordered this exact guitar yesterday. I've never played a baritone. I am looking forward to.

Hey man accidently stumbled on your great video, i received my first Amarok 7 today. It came with no flaws, everything was spot on. With a 1st playtrough test i was blown away with the sound, luckily i survived so i could tell the tale haha. About the tone knob, it works the exact same way for me. The volume knob works wonders too, by driving it back the sound loses it volume slightly. I couldn"t put the guitar down playing it, and about those cleans man oooch. All in all a great guitar for the money, not dissapointed.

great stuff! That's a very impressive set of specs for that price. the neck being bowed kinda sucks but at least it's a quickk fix. Setting a guitar up can sometimes be fun. cheers man

Nice review. Never played an Amarok but I just hear good thing about that model.

Great guitars if you are lucky :) I ordered 7 string Amarok, but it was very hard to intonate in std B, from 12 fret it was so bad that came up to 25-30 cents off. Lowering string action, truss rod adj. and moving 7th saddle to the end removing the spring helped a bit, but that was a hard no from me. Had some visual imperfections also. Then I reordered 25.5 Amarok 6. Visually it was perfect, better than higher end guitars from major brands. But.. bridge was installed with an angle :D And in Drop D it already had problems with intonation :D There are some reviews on YT and Thomann that show the same problems. After that I got myself Ibanez RGIB21 28" instead and second one came great in all aspects. I am still thinking about trying one more time to get Amarok BT to play in DC with much nicer tension, thinner strings and 0 intonation problems :) Pickups sound great, I like them more than usual EMGs :) Just a note: they are not USA made EMGs, these ones are custom order by Thomann and have no quick connectors, electronics are soldered on Amaroks :) And they have no screws in hole pieces :)

Regarding the brightness issue - I had a similar problem. I opened the electronics cavity and found that they have used 250k(!!!) pots for both volume and tone pots. Actives should use 25k pots. So, I ordered a new 25k volume pot and ditched the tone knob entirely. A lot more pleasant tone, but noticeably less gain.
@resingtonАй бұрын
@@IvarsVMetal awesome I have the tone knob down and it's all good but thanks for letting me know dude.
@TudorAdrianАй бұрын
I wonder if that thing with the pickups isn't because of the pots they used inside. I read some forums where folks found out their Amaroks came with 500K pots instead of the 25k you usually put in with active pickups.

Seems like a great guitar and on your videos it sounds vicious and brutal! (you can really hear the longer scale length tightness in the sound) Have you noticed the new free Tonocracy amp sim thing? It can (should be able to) use the Nam captures too!

It's pretty rare that budget guitars are neckthrough. I sort of want to get one but I don't want to get one with sloppy fretwork.

3 years without changing the battery? Hhmm, interesting 🤔 So do you barely use this guitar for the battery to last you 3 whole years?
@resington3 ай бұрын
I use it quite a lot. Still works great.
@ChakraOver9k3 ай бұрын
@@resington Wow really? I'll take your word for it. I've just never had an active guitar that i use all time without the battery dying within 2 months or so. 3 years is nuts tbh
