I bought this guitar four days ago thanks to this video and I really can't wait to play it. The guitar should arrive in two days. This will be my fourth Harley Benton guitar! Thanks Benedikt and thanks Thomann

I ordered one from Thomman and got it in almost two weeks, in perfect condition, I'm happy with the nut width which took me a lot of effort to find one and finally found it now.

I always thought the nut width on acoustic guitars were too thin for my fingers, i prefer the classical guitar fretboard dimensions. This guitar is made for me !

I want one! I've liked what I've heard so far with the spruce walnut combination, and this is no exception.The cutaway , I feel, often helps cancel summing resonances in the larger acoustic guitar bodies,and the wider fret-board is perfect for string spacing in finger-picked passages.Greetings from New Zealand, thanks Benedict.

@@ReneRitchie... Hi, Chris G Murray responding to an answer to a two year old comment I left after watching a KZbin video from Benedict presenting for Harley Benton guitars. I don't have telegram, Facebook, Instagram or Tim tok but use a phone to watch KZbin. Please send more details of this "out of the blue" "selection". I need confirmation of origin before I'm able to claim this prise.

I came here to see and hear the Guitar, but it was the finger-picking segment towards the end which left the biggest impression on me.

"The wider 48 mm nut gives beginners more room on the fretboard for expressive playing." That's got to be the worst advert line for a guitar I've ever read. ALL beginners want a THIN neck because they have it in their minds that a thin neck is a _fast_ neck (whatever that even means). It's the seasoned fingerpickers who want a neck wide at the nut. Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Phil Keaggy, Richard Thompson, Buster Jones, Lenny Breau on and on. When you're playing really intricate chords at breakneck speeds you need more room to play them. You should be marketing this guitar to fingerpickers. And please make it available without electronics so we can chose our own. An all solid wood version would be very welcome too.

@@detroitfunk313 The thing is, they could really fill a much needed niche for fingerpickers. The only inexpensive guitars with wide nut widths are tiny parlor guitars, but most of us want at least a concert or auditorium sized body, and you just can't find one with a 1 7/8" nut width unless it's very expensive. Like, Taylor has several models you can order with that size neck for an extra $200, but you're already talking guitars that are close to $3000 to begin with. That's part of the reason so many fingerpickers have gone to nylon. They have wide enough necks for fingerpicking and they can be found affordably. But I think most of us prefer the sound of steel string for most songs. Sigh. . . .
@silverderf2 жыл бұрын
Yes exactly, and actually most of the parlor guitars made today or targeted to electric guitar players I think and don't have a wide width. But Harley Benton actually make some of their parlors with a 45 mm not wet

I bought a Taylor 815 with a 1-7/8" nut back in 1985. Best decision I ever made. I have been looking for a less expensive wide nut guitar because I don't take my Taylor just anywhere like on our sailboat. SeaGull made a Peppino acoustic but it is also to expensive. I will order one of these today.

I see it's sold out. Will you make anymore? Any chance you'll come out with a more pro version? I couldn't care less about laminated back / sides, but an okoume neck is bottom of the barrel. I've never seen one on steel string before.

@Iwrote1Hit8 ай бұрын
I often think the strumming sounds a bit thin in these videos, but with a firmer pick and flatpicking style the guitars sound much fuller... Not a criticism of Benedict, he just prefers a lighter touch....

You will not get a response from Thomann here - you need to complain to them via the Thomann site. Do you think they just "know" where you are, what your guitar was etc from your comment on a demo of what is probably a completely different guitar? Go to the Thomann site and click on Customer Centre at the top left-hand side of the screen. It's pretty self-explanatory from there on. Then again, look at where we are...

@@ebookpioneers I like to speak with people, in good way and politely , so yes I try to contact thomman but the only response was something about the COVID situation at first time, then they said DHL has a container retention on Colombian custom service, I contact DHL they say not, your package never leave Germany so contact thomman. I know this is a demo channel, but as a channel people put their opinions about your products, and also I dont need an attitude answer like the first time when I was only asking for a little help, I was said I dont care where you are because you dont even got an idea of the almost epic journey that is for me to get a guitar right here where I'm living, you are on a city but I live on a forest area several hours ago from the city. I don't personally order the guitar was my sister but I got all the documentation, guide number and all the legal stuff to make everything honest and clear, finally I was just asking for the pots and tone and volume knobs, simple parts to replace, dont want refound or another guitar cause first don't wanna wait another 72 days, second even with parts broken and scratches I loved the guitar at first sight and the neck and fretboard are flawless even better that my sc 450 LD. So to finish this the guitar is now repaired, has Seymour Duncan's pickups, all new wiring, pots, knobs, pickguard and looks like a gothic les paul ☺🎸 and sounds even better. Thanks for your attention and have a nice day.
