So, I'm not really a Strat cut style guy but that's me. Also not a fan of the glitter look...BUT...that NECK MAN!!! I'm a sucker for that roasted maple! I've never had the pleasure of playing one, but from everything I've been able to tell, Harley Benton knows how to nail the roasted maple necks very very well. It is stunning!!! As for the pickups... I'm much more of a humbucker player generally. Although, as of late, I've found that I much prefer the sound of the Broadtron and TV Jones Filtertrons or even mini humbuckers to the usual buckers. I would eventually want to swap those out probably. Of course, listening over KZbin with their compression etcetera never truly expresses what the guitar sounds like in the room so there is always the slim chance I'd want to keep it as is. Great review by the way. New sub to the channel.

Absolutely amazing performance...Bravo! That guitar is gorgeous...I have the Tele version in black and regret not getting it in silver sparkle, but it is really amazing as well. Might get this as well. This performance reminds me of the band Porcupine Tree.

Great review. I’d love one of the 22 fret Fusion III with LAF pickups.

I keep coming back to listen to the performance. Is there a difference in the pickups between my HB Roswell LAF-B-CR Alnico-5 (bridge) and Roswell LAF-N-CR Alnico-5 (neck) humbuckers and the ones on this Silver version? Roswell LAF-B-GD AlNiCo-5 (bridge) and Roswell LAF-N-GD AlNiCo-5 (neck) humbuckers.

Do you prefer the split coil (tone knob) on this model or the old one, that came with split coil switch. ??

Those pickups do not sound convincing at all. Too much low end mudiness, which seems to be typical for a lot of Roswell pickups, in general.
@wm15732 жыл бұрын
i prefer "muddy" than bright ear piercing sound

It's the 47 nf tone capacitors that come stock with Harley Benton guitars. I found that the filtertrons in my tele were way too muddy so I changed the tone cap from 47 nf to 15 nf and it brought those Roswells back to life. With the correct tone cap Roswell pickups are pretty good. A 1 meg pot or no load pot will do these pickups wonders too.
