3:00 Noooo, don't cut a hole in it. You can acces the inside of the guitar by removing the battery/plug compartment carefully. It's just three small screws. You can tape down the cable via this hole. I opened it today because i tried adding some weight to the body because of the neckdive. When i'm seated I need about 150grams of weight. I havent glued any weight down yet (sticky lead wheel weights) but I will after trying out a new guitarstrap. Or maybe I send it back to Thomann. I just own the guitar for a week now and also ordered an Epiphone Les Paul muse (jet black) which i expect to receive tomorrow. I'm a beginner player so i choose the Harley Benton for it's acoustic/electric mix.

Get rid of that lipstick pup, take off your preamp and pull some of that loose wire to you. Cut off the extra. New pickup will make a world of difference and so will doing a full setup with a luthier is worth every penny!

Hi, Matt! Does the playability concerning the neck resemble an electric? Like a Stratacoustic, for instance. I amd developing an arthritis and I just can't play a regular acoustic anymore... Thank you!

It does play much more like and electric. Very low string tension and low action out of the box make this easy to play.

I have a T5 I got back in 07. Amazing instrument. I bought this one for my brother that loves mine but doesn't play alot. The key to THIS guitar, the Harley Benton, is going into a switch box, to a good acoustic amp (Fishmam imo best) and any clean fender tube amp (I play a 65 Deluxe Reverb. You gotta have a great amp. It's alot of fun to play with a looper with this! It's a good buy!!

If you don't need to switch between electric and acoustic several times during the same song you can try with a CAB M with acoustic IR for acoustic and with some good speaker simulator for the electric. The acoustic IRs made my thin piezo sounds like a dream. The electric sounds are also a great if you want to have an ampless solution. The only problem is that you have to bend down and select the correct setting with a knob every time you want to switch between electric or acoustic.

That sounds awesome! Eventually they will make it footswitchable I’m sure.

I had the same ratteling on this guitar and it was the batterie compartment. It seems to me, that this guitar is nearly the same as the Crafter SA.
