You might as well do the whole Harley Benton line of basses. Email them maybe they'll send you some to test out since your channel is growing.

I got the sunburst version, put flatwounds on it, love it. I'm a Harley Benton fan as of now! The price point is amazing for this quality a bass. Thanks for the review, you nailed it with the motown Jamerson licks. Thanks Pete

@@revlewisrees9880 great man! Did you tweak it? A Seymour Duncan QP would make this even better. I'm gonna switch the bridge to. Already made a cool pick guard look by applying vinyl tape. Got palm trees and a flamingo now lol. You do a lot of rock n roll on this one?
@revlewisrees98803 жыл бұрын
@@teleespantoso - I’ve left everything stock - for now - I might change out the hardware for gold, add an ashtray bridge cover, and a gold or orange sparkle pickguard. I’m going to leave the Roswell pickup in though, as it’s got such a good tone. I find the bass good for the stuff I play, which ranges from 1960s to 2000s. If I played heavy metal I’d probably use something different.
@teleespantoso3 жыл бұрын
@@revlewisrees9880 very cool! I think you should go with the gold anodized pickguard - looks awesome on sunburst! It's a great natural sounding bass with a lot of heart. No super high ends for fingertapping and what kids now do lol. But it brings a warm, woody bottom to any song. I just love it. People ask me: "why you doing this original and rooty routine?" I answer: it's the best, and will play any song of this earth.

I ordered this bass a couple weeks ago and like the fat tone and will be putting flats on today so that ought to really get that classic early electric bass sound. It’s gonna get a bridge and pickup cover too in the next few days. Unlike your’s, I’m going to need to buy a fret file. All the frets need a bit of love. That’s not such a bad thing to learn some maintenance stuff on a bargain bass.

Reminiscent of a 1955 electric p bass with the conture cut in the upper part of the body, the 1951 fender p basses up to that point, were slab cut bodies,no conture.

I buy the same, but sunburst (which says poplar body instead of basswood) - its really amazing - definitely the best sounding 100 euro bass, but it sounds really better than Mexican Fender! Just out of the box! in real rock mix!

I’m contemplating whether to get this or not. I love the Motown sound and this is the bass for it. I’m also looking at the Harley Benton 60-WB. Maybe you can do a demo on that semi-hollow bass from HB. Cool beans bro🤙between you and lobster, you both demo the guitars really well . Don’t tell lobster but I like you better😂except that silver and black thingy, Go Chargers⚡️

@similaritiesendhere21 күн бұрын
You can find the weight on the HB website and any bass that can make upright sounds works for old music. Instruments as basic as these mostly get their tone from their amp/effects setup. My main base (old Yamaha RBX774) can sound like an upright, piano or "modern" bass. I don't need a youtube demonstration to tell me what I can do with those sounds. All I needed to hear from this review was that it was a good looking guitar with a nice neck and good frets. I can upgrade every other part (tuners, nut, bridge, pots, pickups, shielding) to make it sound as vintage or modern as I want.
