Your mission:
Assemble your DIY kit, paint/decorate it however you choose, and play it.
What is important for us is that the DIY kits are presented as a creative way for musicians and non-musicians to build and design a playable instrument.
The community has to upload one video (max. 1 minute) of playing the final instrument (please note that the video and your social media accounts have to be public). Sharing content of the building process / making off (pictures or videos) is appreciated - so we can share them on our social media / in our blog.
On KZbin, please include #DIYKitChallenge22 in the title, otherwise include it wherever possible. These platforms are allowed: KZbin, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, Facebook.
The public challenge will be open to the public from 12 pm (CET) on April 18th 2022 until June 19th 2022 at 11.59pm CET.

Excellent video and guitar. It looks Awesome and Sophie has done a great work with the adjustments. If I would win this guitar I would play at first some solos and riffs from Mike Oldfield's discography, like some parts of Ommadawn or Amarok. :)

Great video! I would like firstly to play "Hosanna" (from Hillsong United), if I should win that. It's a beautiful song to play with an amazing guitar like that!😃 It's very import to know how to setup an electric guitar properly, and Sophie has showed up the main adjustments everyone can do, for example with that Harley Benton's Kit!

I'm a bit confused. Fret crowning is good and all, but i would not do that with eyes only, and do a proper leveling job and get some markers out first. Also I'd tape the fretboard. Still a cool guitar though. Probably would play some "Black Magic Woman" on this one, since it reminds me of Santana.

I'd like to play "May the Fourth be with You" by Guvna (yes, one of my originals!). What I would do, if I won, would be to record my next track on Spotify with this guitar and name the song with a reference to Thomann/Harley Benton. Isn't that what it's all about - creating new music? Thanks for doing this series of setup videos for us, Thomann - they were super helpful in my new kit build, and the presenters were excellent.

Use the best strings you can get and afford. I myself go with Optima Gold. Dont save money on cheap strings. They are one of the most potent and important components in the chain of sound. Optima have one ofthe nicest Sound I ever encountered. The last 6 Months even if you play a lot(like 8 hours a day).
