Very cool that Harley Benton is branching out. I still have yet to own a Harley Benton, but I know I'd like and appreciate it.

I'm very impressed with the price/quality ratio. Budget gear today is SO much better than when I was just starting out

@@deadbeatstudios Oh man, ain't THAT the truth !!!! There are some INCREDIBLE basses for $500 and less coming from Indonesia, and China that rivals the 1980's MIJ stuff.

Well for your information I have 3 of their jazz basses and they're fuckin bad ass. Hard to believe they're on par with a top of the line Fender for $250.

Hi Jayme! I'm looking for a open sounding and light cabinet. I wanted to ask, if you had to choose only one HB cab, would you choose the 210 or the 115? Thank you!
@JohnDSmith-po4nu5 күн бұрын
May I give u an answer to ur question, even though I'm not Jayme? Well, In my humble opinion the choice of gear should depend on the usage and also on the entire signal chain, so to speak. What sort of gigs and locations are you playin? In today's times most gigs are brought to the audience by FOH guys and their equipment, so a solid backline would hardly be required. I'd observe a tendency towards using FXs and preamps and/or DI and have the stage sound come via IE. If you like the sound of a two by ten, then go for it. It might be more versatile than any one by fifteen...

I would love to see Block 800 vs. 600H.

Dude...I have the 800 HB Block amp...the one you're playing through and have taken that out on several gigs...IT IS THE SHIT!!!! And now I'm hearing that 2x10 cab..on that cab...curious...did you have the EQ 12 oclock on the 800? I used to take out a Genz Benz Streamliner 900 and a Bergantino Forte...paired with a Bergantino HT 2x10....our guitar player recently had his amp stolen...so I bought the HB 800 cuz if that gets stolen i'm out only 300 dollars...now i'm probably going to pull the trigger on this cab...so if someone steals my rig then again, i'm not out a lot of money....And this was at a NICE hotel here in Dallas!!!....Great Job...

dang that's no fun Eric, but ya I love the idea of gigging on cheap gear for that exact reason. Light it on fire, I don't give a shit haha

Hmm im conflicted. It sounds good, but how do you feel about the High end Jayme? The low end is solid from what i can Hear.

Is it possible to use a preamp direct in this cab? like nux melvin lee davis? or is completely necessary to use an amp? anyway, great video
@MickMod13 күн бұрын
Late reply, but a preamp will always require a power amp to work with a cabinet (except maybe some very rare exceptions that I've never heard of). I use a cheap bass preamp and a 70's Peavey PA amp for my power amp myself :)
