I have the TE 52 as well,the only thing I would do on it is to switch the saddles to some copper ones,makes a ton of difference,the pingy sounds gets really good
@PeteAxeShields4 жыл бұрын
I changed the saddles for brass compensated saddles, you are spot on about them Ettnoll. I also put some Gotoh locking vintage tuners on it ( which improved tuning stability massively ) and a Graph Tech Tusq nut * which made a huge difference to the tone, I also changed the string trees to roller trees. My guitar tech friend did an amazing set up, redressing and polishing the frets, a very slight shim on the neck and it now plays like a high end guitar. I may change the pickups at some stage but I'm in no hurry as they sound great. plenty of Tele-twang and lovely warm tones via the neck pickup .... and great sustain.

@@PeteAxeShields Yeah there's a lot of good in this guitar,simple stuff like you did makes it great. I did some modding on my ST 62 as well,think the pickups are pretty decent on both guitars tbh. Cool,nice that you've a great guitar for very little money. I guess the saddles/nut mod are still cheaper than a Squier Affinity in price,and sounds a lot better

Gotoh string trees don't hurt.

Do you know if you have to do much to make a pickguard fit on? Like taking the stock one off so you know if other pickguard match. Probably not a big deal if I only had to drill a couple holes. It don’t know if the other stuff would align.
@rickhammel95415 жыл бұрын
what tuners did you get? Did they fit with no modifications, or did you have to drill at all? Just got mine today, tuners are the worst I've ever seen.

@@ettnollbajen hi, do you know if the scrathplate is the same size as the fender ones?
@ettnollbajen3 жыл бұрын
@@Dreamoftheunwealthy I'd say so,but just like between Squire and fender,the holes are situated differently

So you fucked up the resell value of a lovely harley benton tele 52 replica? Well "congrats" to ruin it.
@williamwhalen77646 жыл бұрын
How did I ruin the resale value? I do have the option to put the original parts back on and then sell it, moreover it's my guitar and I'll do what I want with it, hope this helps.

Completely waste of money and time! Did it get any "better"? No it didnt because it is a great guitar as is stock.all you did was ruin the resellvalue of it.no one will buy a guitar someone messed with.
@williamwhalen77645 жыл бұрын
Newsflash: If I want to sell the guitar as "original" I can simply put all the original parts back on. But why would I do that, the guitar sounds great and plays better now and it's not for sale.

I dont think anyone is thinking about resale value when they buy a Harley Benton.
