Tip... If you poke another hole in the foil above the hole your pouring the fluid from it will pour out more evenly.

check out russell speed bleeders, you can eliminate the vacum pump & they work pretty well ( all you need is the hose and a plastic bottle )

i tried this and brake fluid started squirting out the back of the pump by the handle and made a horrendous mess. not sure what i did wrong

why do you fill the top so many times with new fluid?

To purge as much of the old fluid as possible, because brake fluid is cheap and it doesn't store well. You'll want to buy a new jar at $7 a year or two from now when you do it again.
