Replacement clutch with hub sleeve on a 1987 Harley Davidson fxr lowrider. Clutch hub keyway broke due to being over torqued see part 1 for failure. This transmission is the taper style main shaft! #harleydavidson #fxr #repair

Just did my fxr’s clutch. What do a,b, and c all mean as far as pressure. Mine was on A to begin with but I put a Barnett heavy duty kit in mine. Plus have a lot of engine mods. Just want to get the best possible grab

The spring needs to be flat when you put a straight edge against it. You adjust A,B or C to get it there when tight. One time I had to double up on one of the steels to achieve this.

Did you change the main shaft , or reuse old one with a new woodruff key

Shaft stayed original.

You can tighten the filter housing,. The mounting bolt is under the starter. So pull the starter and back out the bolt, I recommend a dap of red lock tight and a lock washer. It will never come loose again.
